Chic and spacious Helsinki hotel with wine cellar and fine dining

The Hotel Haven is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World organization and lives up to its reputation. In addition to being centrally located for the dining, shopping and nightlife, it has an on-site comprehensive wine cellar and restaurant. It is also close to legendary dining opportunities such as the GW Sunderman restaurant. The Hotel Haven has its own fitness center, spa, tour desk and business center, and there is a bar and lounge for guests to relax in after a long day.

Hotel Haven Rooms

The Hotel Haven offers guests a choice of excellent rooms with full facilities designed to make their stay as pleasant as possible. Rooms offer generous amounts of space, ranging from 334 square feet and 377 square feet of the comfort and style rooms to the 538 square feet of the luxe room. Throughout, the furnishings are clean and decorated in deceptively simple Scandinavian style. There is an emphasis on the use of warm wood tones that gives the guest rooms here a remarkably comfortable and homely ambience. The guest rooms have en suite bathrooms with spa facilities, and all beds are king sized. For in-room entertainment, each room has its own built-in multimedia entertainment system courtesy of Bang & Olufsen, Scandinavian leaders in the field of up-market, chic and supremely effective audio products. Haven from What?

The hotel allowed an early check-in after a long overseas flight. That was a plus. However, they charged and extra 50 euros for a travel companion. That was pretty steep considered the breakfast was just cold cuts and they still only put one bottle of water in the room. The maids continually interrupted, particularly at around 8 pm for a turn down service which featured a single bottle of water. The gym was small but in good shape and had a descent selection of workout gear.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Zetor is a restaurant about 1/2 mile away and featured a rustic setting with fabulous reindeer meat and a wide variety of Finnish favorites.

I loved this hotel so much that

I loved this hotel so much that I stayed there 3 times in the one month, each time I returned to Helsinki. All of the staff were very professional, courteous and willing to help in any way they could. The only thing that I think could be improved is their room service menu as limited in choice. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Helsinki and will recommend it for everyone.

SUPER ET SUPERBE

Hotel à côté du port. Chambres design scandinave magnifiques. Marbre noir,HiFi et TV B&O, etc.. Petit déjeuner excellent.Personnel parfait. Rue pavée un peu bruyante mais peu de circul. Essayer avoir chambre côté cours/mer.
