The Best in Fiji - Top Class with the natural 'native' twist.

Our 30th visit and we like 5 star! But The Fijian is a great natural time-out location. Imagine one week and you don't have to leave the property and it's not long enough! One warning! You will want to come back...frequently.

Great to Relax

Nice hotel if you want to just relax. There are many children there but they can be avoided - adults only breakfast restaurant, pool. Not a 5 star hotel - needs updating.

Great Value

I spent 3 nights at the Shangrila on Yanuca Island. I had seen good reviews on the hotel before booking and only saw negative reviews after I was staying at the hotel. The facility is in need of a refresh but for the price and amenities, was a great value - especially when comparing with other high-end properties nearby - namely the Intercontinental. I was traveling alone and found the room, staff, activities and restaurants suitable for my short stay.

Fun adult and family getaway

Beautiful setting, VERY friendly and helpful staff, good food, pretty nice 9 hole golf course. If you are a scuba diver, you HAVE to dive the Aqua-Tech Shark Dive. Two hour cab ride from hotel, about $70 US, but worth every penny. Definitely try out the Chi Spa: very nice atmosphere and oh so relaxing. Free Internet cafe, all kinds of family and children's activities. Nice beach on Lagoon side.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Beer, Wine, and Mixed drinks are expensive. For beer, have cab/taxi stop by a store on the way and pick up what you need. For Wine and Liquor, buy duty free at the airport. For Cigar smokers, bring your own cigars, very expensive at the stores.
