Overall good except for food
Clean, extra friendly staff, beautiful scenery, kid friendly, awesome pool, but not so great restaurants. I wouldn't rate the restaurants 5 stars. I would definitely stay at the hotel again but would not eat anything there.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Lots of stores to buy souvenirs but you have to bargain like crazy. However, there are also stores with set prices. Check with them to get rough estimate to see what you should bargain down to at other stores. Taxi drivers get commission from restaurants for recommending it to you. So restaurants they suggest may not always be good.

The Westin exceeded our expectations
The Westin exceeded our expectations from the time we arrived to the time we left. We arrived 5 hours late as the Yasawa Flyer got stuck on a reef. No problem at reception, and even though it was 10pm and the restaurant was about to close, they offered to arrange for our late arrival. When we requested a late checkout, once again no problem, and no additional charge. Breakfast here is as good as any restaurant, anywhere in the world. We will be returning.

A fantastic location with great
A fantastic location with great pools and landscaping. Unfortunatley the Hotel is let down with some rooms being sub-standard for a 5 star Hotel. Simple things like keys not working after check in, no cable for internet connection should be improved. Staff and fantastic and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

This was the second time that
This was the second time that we stayed here. Rooms are very nice and very clean. Unfortunately, there seems to be a lack of maintenance at the resort. Lights outside room not working, telephones in room broken. Staff notified but nothing was done to rectify the problem. Cards to rooms stop working for no reason - they had not been near any phones to demagnitise them. Airconditioning broke down at 1am - after some consultation we were given another room to sleep in. However, this same thing happened 3 years ago when we stayed there - we ended up having to move rooms twice as each room had aircon that stopped working. So although it is a lovely established resort in a great spot and the Staff were very friendly - we will not be going back to it next time we go to Fiji. We thought the aircon problem would not happen again but we were wrong.

Excellent service and great value
Excellent service and great value for accommodation - our room wasn't ready and they upgraded us and also gave us a bottle of wine. Also fantastic breakfast. Though staying in Denaru does not allow you to see Fiji as beach is polluted, best to stay on an island or do day trips.

Staff friendly and helpful. We arrived early at 9:30am and the check- in staff had a room ready within the hour. Ports O'Call restaraunt at the adjacent Sheraton was fantastic.

I had a perfect time at the Westin.
I had a perfect time at the Westin. I had an Ocean view which was perfect for watching the sunsets and so close to the beach, without being right on top of the beach - just a short walk across the gardens. The free Bula bus to the Sheraton was brilliant and staff gave me a lift over in a Golf buggy on day!!! The FID6 daypass for the bus down to Denarau Port was also good value, although 2 years ago it was free!! I would certainly stay at the Westin again without doubt, but it would have been good to have breakfast included in all the rates as it was last year.

Stayed 4 nights at the Westin
Stayed 4 nights at the Westin and enjoyed our time a lot. Very nice and clean hotel with the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Golf Club next to it. All the facilities of these sister hotels can be used as well. We got a good deal in March 2009 that included the meal deal option (breakfast, lunch and dinner) which is recommended. The swimming pools are very nice. Beach is a not as nice (no white sand) and ocean water is not clear, but free transfer to a small island with a nicer beach and water is available. We would stay there again.
