Situated on one of Tallinn's oldest boulevards, the Meriton Old Town Hotel is a treasure built into the original old city wall. With a picturesque environment and a combination of modern architecture and pseudo-gothic abundance of detail, we are able to provide you with a truly unique and memorable stay in Estonia's vibrant capital. The city's most attractive locations, whether business or leisure are at your doorsteps, and the hotel's surroundings breathe history. With 41 cozy rooms spread over four floors and the attic, the hotel is ideal for individual tourists or small groups. With 38 double rooms, the Meriton Old Town Hotel also offers 6 unique and spacious rooms, 2 of which have balconies and are known as the Bella Vita rooms. All rooms have a telephone, TV-set (Sat TV), minibar, shower, 3 rooms also have a bath. There is a Wi-Fi connection in many rooms. Bella Vita rooms also offer tea/coffee making facilities and the house is equipped with a lift.
The interior design of the lobby and the dining hall connects medieval and modern styles. A contemporary room solution has been placed between historical walls; natural materials are adorned with modern accents. From 1340 to 1355, one of the towers of the historical city wall, the Renten Tower, was located at the site of the Meriton Old Town Hotel. The tower perished in 1880 and the current building was built on the foundation of the tower. One of the most unique features of the hotel is its close proximity to a horse mill, which dates back to the first half of the 14th century and belongs to the 78 most interesting objects in our medieval capital.
The hotel provides facilities like Airport Shuttle, Free breakfast, Handicap Rooms, Room Service, Wireless Internet, Smoke-Free Property.

The hotel location is great, just by the entrance called Fat Margaret's Tower, an easy walk from the pier. We stayed 2 nights, arrrived early so our room was not ready but left the luggage in the luggage room. They have no safe deposit boxes in
the rooms, but have one in the reception so we could leave our valuables there. We had a reservation for the least expensive room so our room faced the back of the hotel and the busy street that borders the wall, so there was noise from the street since there is no air condition and it was hot, (not stiffling hot but we needed to open the windows.) We got a corner room with a little balcony which was nice. )We were so tired from all the walking that this was not a major concern, but if you are a light sleeper you might want to upgrade to a room in the front since the town is mostly pedestriannand the front faces inside the wall.) The room size was average for european standards, clean with a nice bathroom. I had shopped around and for the location this was a good price. We value location first when deciding on a hotel and this was great. The breakfast buffet was very nice and included in the price. There was free wi-fi and one computer in the lobby for the patrons use. We loved Tallin, it is a very well preserved medieval town, easy to walk, with very nice shops, beautiful handicrafts, specially linen apparel, tablecloth, childrens clothing, scarfs, etc.) and nice little restaurants. . The weather was very nice, we were there july 14-16, it rained late one night as we were making our way back to the hotel, but the rest of the time was beautiful.

Short walk from hotel
Karl Friedrich Restaurant, in the main plaza on a second floor. A very refined setting, exellent food and wine(we ordered the house wine and it was exellent), great service and the price was about the same you pay at the outdoor places with none of the frills. The restaurant was not full so we got a table overlooking the plaza, I think tourists probably think it is going to be more expensive, or don't bother to go up the stairs!
We were there on business, and hotel staff were all helpful in letting us use their facilities for meetings, etc. The atmosphere is quiet, historic details of the old city and the city wall are everywhere in tasteful dimensions. Rooms are small,
so if you are in need of lots of space, this may not be the place for you.
