booked standard room.on my booking form it stated room description :standard room 1 double bed AND one 1 twin (single) bed. that was how it was written exactly. I thought I was getting a room with TWO beds but was given room with one double bed.
Was sharing with a friend so this was unsuitable.Asked for change of room OR a small bed to be put in room. Was told we could not have bed put in room or we could not change room as hotel booked out.We asked to speak to manager. Were told by staff at reception that manager would tell us the same thing!! we were eventually given a twin room .The manager did not speak to us at all.We were told that we should have specified that we wanted a room with 2 beds that is the system! We were told that we did not understand the SYSTEM! should make it clearer to clients that you need to specify if you wish to have room with 2 beds.
Tucked away - you could easily miss it but, believe it or not, it was smack in the middle of down town. The room was fine. The breakfast was fantastic. the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you, A. Johnson
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Breakfast was offered by the hotel. Other meals were found in restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. All the food offered us was fresh, attractively presented and delicious. A. Johnson
There were no rooms available for the standard room at the time of my arrival. They upgraded me to the Suite at no charge. The rooms were kept spotless and the staff was very knowledgeable about events and places to go. The breakfast was first
class. I could have not asked for a better place to stay.
1) They gave another person a key to our room. That person walked into our room while we were there at 1am.
2) One of the people at the front desk, who called a cab company to get two cab rides back to the airport for early in the
morning (one at around 4am and one at around 6am) called a cab run by her friend that happened to be at least twice as expensive as any other cab in town (the same driver for both rides).
After giving away our hotel room while we were in it, they upgraded to a nicer room.
