Very Nice Hotel
I was very impressed with this hotel during my stay in San Salvador. It was clean, very comfortable, and in a good location. Although I was a little disappointed with the extra fees and the internet/breakfast/restaurant prices. Considering you can find breakfast around town for $2 - $5, paying $18.99 a day for internet and breakfast seems steep.

A nice hotel in a great central location
My only complaints are that there was NEVER any ice on our floor, and I still find it odd that I can rent a cheaper room at a lessor hotel, and get free internet, while here I'm paying more, and yet they still want to charge me additional to use the internet.

Beautiful Place
The only thing I didn't like was the service in the restaurants and their hours of operation. My husband and I wanted to have dinner Sunday night at 6:30 and all the restaurants were closed.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Metrocentro is right across the street and there's a bridge that connnects the mall to the hotel, so you don't have to worry about crossing the very busy four lane road way. I've read it's the biggest mall in Latin America

Wonderful hotel in San Salvador
I loved my 4-day and 5-night stay at the hotel. The 4 restaurants all had very good food, though the breakfast and dinner buffets in the Brazilian restaurant were too expensive (only because I am a 100-lb. woman who eats very little!) I ate about $2 worth for a $15 breakfast and $24 dinner buffet. The staff was excellent, the location is very good, the room was nice and clean. I can't think of anything negative to say about the hotel. Do wish they ran shuttles to the airport more often...I had a noon filght and had to take a taxi because the shuttle didn't go at the right time. Loved all the waiters...they were just great.

One of El Salvador's best hotels
I stay at the Camino Real San Salvador annually; outstanding location, first class service, and staff that goes out of their way to assist. Located directly across from Metro Centre (which is Central America's largest outdoor high end shopping mall) with bars, clubs, restrnts all within walking distance. Prompt and efficient check in (and check out service), attentive staff that assists with every desire, helpful concierce service, nice fitness center. Pool is a bit small and could use updating but adequate.

One of the best hotels in San Salvador
This is my fourth stay at this hotel; the staff is excellent and very helpful (even to those of us with limited Spanish skills)! Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. Excellent brunch at the hotel (and a very good value). The hotel has a wide array of ammenities including a BIKE/MOTORCYCLE rental facility! Also a rental car checkout on site. Nice pool although a bit small! Also a nice fitness center with free weights and a wide array of cardio machines. Don't expect to get a hamburger and fries at any of the restaurants though! They have both upscale dining but also a nice bar with a chips & salsa dining station. This is one of the nicest hotels on the main strip (boulevard of heros).

The MetroCentre which is the largest mall in all of latin america is directly across the street! Also a lot of americanized restaurants within walking distance (Tony Roma, Pizza Hut, KFC, Pollo Loco, and even a few Burger Kings down the road). The location is close to shopping and the central business district.
