This is a very nice budget hotel with incredible views and absolute incredible views of the Pyramids from the roof bar. 0407 hm A modern high-rise building. The hotel is located in the area of the Pyramids on the Faisal road with the Pyramids in walking distance.

You Get What You Pay For

I booked this hotel due to the proximity to the Pyramids and it's value. Well... you get what you pay for. I got a room with a fantastic view on the 10th floor but the noise was intolerable. The view was amazing! The Air Conditioning did not work (if it ever works) and the room is VERY minimal and gets VERY VERY hot in the sun. The staff is incredibly nice... but I wouldn't trust them with assisting anything you need with tours, etc. They are going to send you to a friend who is going to upcharge you. However, there is a very nice young man in the little silver and papyrus gift shop who was a really good help. Very very honest young man. Other than it's proximity to the Pyramids, I would not suggest this hotel. It's very far from the airport and close to nothing other than the Pyramids. So your choice should be view vs. cleanliness, sound, etc. Also - Giza is a NIGHTMARE of an area. Very third-world. I say stick to the Nile Plaza or downtown Cairo.

Great View, Comfortable Room

I never got tired of looking out my window at the pyramids. At certain times of the night they were all lit up and it was great. Room was large, clean. Beds comfortable and firm. Water barely warm enough. Photos were misleading because there was no indoor roof-top restaurant, just patio chairs and tables. Limited menu. Didn't take plastic. Desk staff inflexable when asking to customize my tour with a guide. Neighborhood really bad, so take a taxi from the hotel. Breakfast was ok and had a mix of western and local food. The English speaking tour guide was great. Loved, loved, loved the camel ride tour of the pyramids. Exchange your money before getting to hotel, because they won't do it for you. Take lots of 5 pound notes or 1 pound coins with you for tipping, so that you don't have to dip into your big money.

Try to pre-pay for all of your tour packages from your hotel, but bring lots more money for food, tips, admission (that you thought was covered)...Those carpet mill, papyrus, and perfume tours are just tourist traps, literally they close the door behind you. Try to avoid them unless you really want to shop for those things because they expect, maybe even demand that you buy something. The price is right if you do, though.

The good, the bad and the ugly

It is quite close to the pyramids but quite far from the museum and other places, and you need taxi that can charge you anything they want. It is not the cleanest place. the pool does not work.

NIGHTMARE

This place was a dump. When we got there they had lost my reservation and made ME call the travel company, then they billed me for the call! When we finally got our room it was disgusting! The carpet was dirty and stained. There was hair clogging the shower drain for 2 days, the maids never cleaned it, I had to! I was suprised the bed didn't have bed bugs it was so dirty! There weren't real sheets that actually covered the matress, but two half sheets that came undone every night. The toilet was broken the entire time and no one would fix it. The phones didn't work and neither did the wi-fi they claimed to have. If you wanted to use internet you had to go to the lobby and pay for it. The pool was small and so dirty we couldn't swim in it no matter how hot we were. I got no sleep the entire trip b/c the traffic outside was so loud and everyone honks their horns non-stop! I had to put the TV on a music chanel to drown it out and even then I was woken up at 7am b/c of the bright light coming through the horrible curtains or b/c a maid came everyday and woke us up before 8am to ask to "clean" our room! They charge for whats supposed to be an included breakfast, and it was no good anyways. The elevator boy and everyone else in the hotel are looking for money all the time for doing nothing! The staff was lazy and useless. The place stank like motor oil. THIS PLACE SUCKS. Its not worth a dime. You could sleep on the street and get the same experiance. The location is horrible, its dangerous and nothing is around. You can see the pyramids but its not worth it, you can go see them and not have them next to your hotel. Stay in the city not Giza! I've stayed in many hotels in many countries but this was worse then I could imagine. Its no 4 star hotel, I'd give it 0!

My review of Delta Pyramids

1. Dirty: We had 2 rooms. bedding sheets and pillow cases were dirty, a large live cockroaches in the bathroom. Blood stain on the pillow case. 2. Noisy: street in front of hotel was very noisy 24 hours. By 5 AM, entire city?s speakers were all at a very high volume at the same time. 3. Most air most air polluted area, gabbages were all over the street, you can not stop coughing. 4. Far away from any major hotels, 1 hour drive from airport.
