Hotel Patio Andaluz, located in the heart of the historic Quito Antiguo, declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO un 1978, is surrounded by churches, museums and national monuments. The hotel is an official National Treasure and holds centuries of history within its walls. It was part of the original Solaris (original building sites) that constituted the city of San Francisco de Quito by the time of its foundation. Since then, revolutionary actors, historic figures, presidents and thinkers had passed through its patios and corridors. Enjoy the elegance and comfort that this Hotel Boutique gives you, with its great arches, balconies and attics. Experience the colonial times through our corridors that have witnessed Ecuadorian history since the end of the XVI century. The hotel also offers lobby, reception and smoke-free hotel.

Very nice hotel in the old city center

A very upscale hotel, the Hotel Patio Andaluz provided us with a room more than big enough for 3. The room had a bed downstairs for our mom and a room upstairs for us. The bathroom was spacious. The room was clean. The location was just 2 blocks from the old city center and main square. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

Very nice stay

We enjoyed our time at this hotel. The location was great, walking distance to several Quito attractions and great restaurants and the staff were very pleasant. One warning, when we checked in, we were told that breakfast was included. When we checked out, we were handed a bill for breakfast. Make sure you double check your reservation before eating! I did not feel that the two eggs and coffee were worth the $15 bill.

Wonderful Experience

From the moment you are greeted by staff in costume , you know you are in for a good experience. The staff were very helpful in providing help to maneuver the area and in getting taxis when needed. Staying in a historical building was special. Breakfast was pricey so we ate elsewhere the second day.

Great location in Quito

The location of the hotel was wonderful - just a block off the main square in the old town. There are lots of restaurants nearby and it is safe to walk around. The hotel is beautiful and our room was lovely. The staff however was un-helpful; slow to help or offer assistance. The restaurant is fair, at best. [...]
