The Gesthouse was quite nice. The location is very good and only about 10-12 minutes from the airport.
The rooms are very plain (guesthouse), but clean.
The one problem is the lack of an elevator. So beware if you have a lot of luggage.
I you
plan to see the "downtown" of Guayaquil, and stroll around a bit, it's a good choice. If you are on business, perhaps not.

A stay at the Manso is a peaceful vacation
First of all, I don't know why people would even consider writing a bad review on this boutique place. For the money you pay, this is like a total relaxing, very accommodating place. Granted, this is NOT a 5-star hotel...but also consider what you
are paying before you expect it. The staff are extremely friendly and answer all your questions. They also go out of their way to help you out...they are also very knowledgeable in all the surrounding areas of Guayaquil. The rooms are very nice, bathrooms are clean, and windows have a lot of sunlight. The food is very good, and the fresh juices are also really nice. I would stay here again and again.

review of a Hostel, not a HOTEL!
The place is not a HOTEL, but a high end HOSTEL!
You pay over $50 a high, and there is not HOT water
in the shower, just one spigot!.
Yes, it is downtown in the slums, have to walk up 2-more flight with no help, and pay for everything!
NO
TV!,
NO privacy!
NO individual shower!
NO hot water in shower
NO windows for some room!
NO good chairs, just cheap AL one and very
uncomfortable!
Yes there was food there, but expensive!
NO bottle water in rooms, and they charged $$ for it!
NO place to go outside, except to a very dirty street!
Rating is NO stars, and would never stay there again!

hace sol en ecuador...
Visited with friends earlier this month...great central location for walking guayaquil. The staff are very nice and sincere helping with any needs that may arise. Staff is also very knowledgable about the area giving insight on great things to do
there. Best fruit juice i've drank in any country (passion fruit). Veggie burgers are tasteful and filling (good job chefs). There was a booking issue when we arrived but that was not manso's fault. Staff went over and beyond to ensure we had a place to stay there.Beautiful culture and people. I will return one day.....

Hotel
This cozy place is located in a very nice place of Guayaquil. It has magnificent views from the balcony and confortable rooms, which you can spend your time just looking around. service is grate and to tell the truth i have been in other more
expensive names hotels and i would take this one instead. The only thing was the shower was a little bit cold. but i enjoyed my stay in the hotel.
