Good deal for a good price
This hotel was in a fantastic location, as it is within walking distance from everything historic you need to see in the colonial zone. The staff were very friendly although sometimes they would stand around watching every movement because it was so quiet. The room had the basics you need, although if you are used to the marriott or other upscale hotels, you might be quite disappointed.

My review of Hodelpa Caribe Colonial
I was displeased with the reaction and explanation of the manager on duty on 10/4/08, when I complained about not getting the complimentary breakfast. He did not seem to care about my business. The mattress in the room on the 4th floor that I stayed in need to be discarded. It was lumpy and worn out; a health risk. Gave me back pain every night. Had to keep asking the maid to put wash cloths in the bathroom. Was very pleased with the service of the bellman and the front desk clerk. They were most courteous and efficient.
