Fun and games at Santo Domingo hotel and casino with oversized pool
The quaint Hispaniola Hotel & Casino is located in the heart of Santo Domingo. The commercial and government centers and the historic Colonial Zone are close by. The Las Canas Restaurant serves a breakfast buffet on the pool terrace. After a busy day of business or sightseeing, guests relax with a massage, dip in the oversized pool or a cocktail at the pool bar. Better than average - good value for loc
Have stayed in many places in Santo Domingo. This was first time at Hispaniola, and it is fine for economical business travel...especially if most commitments are in the Churchill/Lincoln/Independencia corridors of the city. Spa is good. Pool great. Food better than average. It is time for a remodel of rooms, halls, and probably plumbing. Wi_Fi was free and strong in lobby and pool/bar areas.

Great hotel with great staff
The location was excellent. The breakfast was superb! The staff catered to my every need. Fantastic getaway! It did not have a gym but it was not missed--it was a great lazy-days vacation for me!

Short walk from hotel
A great little restaurant is near the hotel that serves local favorites--some of the best food I have ever ate! Do not let the outside of the building deceive you.
