Don Juan Beach Resort - All Inclusive

dont fall for the all inclusive, activities were there but for a a small cost, the drinks were watered down cheap label snack bars are open when they feel like it, the beach would of been enjoyable if we werent pestered by peddlers every 20 sec. to avoid them tou must sit by pool. if you leave the premisses you will enjoy the view and smell of garbage around you.

I have been to this hotel several times in the past. It seems to be going downhill. To start it took over an hour to check in!! The weekend they were full and did not have adequate staff at restaurant, bars, nor registration area. Balcony door was broken, tv did not work, air conditioner was barely passable. Highly disappointing.

Folks please take my advise this place is horrible. Whatever you pay for this hotel don't think you are getting a Good Deal you are paying too much. Also the restaurant is not a really a restaurant it's a low class cafeterina, there are three old guys who are constantly singing and annoying the grab out of you. Beach: honestly very dirty, you cannot sit in piece constant harrassment by vendors and tons of prostitution. If you want to visit Dominican Republic visit Punta Cana 100 times better place than Boca Chica.

We stayed at the Don Juan Resort in Santo Domingo. The animation staff did an excellent job. The beach was clean, beautiful water and warm. Motel food was excellent. The picture on the internet of the room is not what they give you, only one bottle of water in room, no beer in refrig and not all rooms have a frig. Too many prostitutes with guest in the resort. I did not pay to be among hookers on my entire vacation. Paid too much money for this type of company. Men of all ages with hookers in the motel, at the restuarant,bars and shows. The beach is not private and others frequent the beach and stalk you. You have to watch your beach bag, which had nothing in it but they wanted it. The vendors on the beach are a nusance, if you buy one thing they expect you to buy from all of them and beg you til death. The men are looking for a wife and to come to the USA.

The hotel room at the Don Juan is too expensive and the rooms was not so great. The furniture in the room was very dusty and the bath tub would leak water from underneath the tub when you take a shower and you would have to use your bath towel to get the water off the floor. It was reported to the hotel attendant and it was never tended too. Onr of the hotel front desk personnel was always trying to nickel and dime you about everything. It was always an extra charge for everything. I have never experienced that type of hospitality at any hotel that I stayed at in the United States. I and my husband was very unhappy with the front desk personnel; but for the most part the other staff was very nice and professional. The food and the beach was great. The only thing I dont like about being on the beach. The people that worked on the beach that sold things to the guest were a pest. It was hard to enjoy the beach because they would harass you to death about buying something or giving manicures and pedicures. They just be too persistant when you nicely tell them you are not interested. That was reason I missed three days of my vacation on the beach because of them wanting to sell things too you. Overall I dont think I would stay at the Don Juan Hotel Beach Resort because of those circumstances.

Spend $10. more dollars and have better resort the hotel food, TV, disco no air I would never return

Ive been to different resorts in DR and this is by far the worst experience ever! The staff wasn't keen on customer service at all. The food was salty and not very tasty. The only thing I liked was the quite sandy beach. I will never go there again.

I checked in and when I got into the room there was water all over the bathroom floor. I tried to take a shower and had no water. I called the front desk and was told the whole hotel had not water. I asked for my money back but was told I had to contact the booking site for a refund. I could get a live person on the phone at the booking site. The only good thing about this hotel is the food and the food staff. Everyone was smiling and very pleasing. The front desk needs to take some pointers from dining room people. I will not ever stay at this nasty place again!

Q#1 We visit the botanica garden, that was great. we travel to the capital wonderfull sigth seing and we enjoy the night life. Q#2 I which the hotel was a newer hotel but the people that work at the hotel made up for that because the service was wonderfull. Q#3 I cannot compare because I have stayed in better hotel and had a misserable time, because the staff was horrible long line to check to check in etc. Eventhoe this hotel was not one of the classy one I and my family realy enjoyed ourself.
