Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa - Adults Only- All Inclusive

I will never stay at a Bahia resort again. It was impossible to get a reservation at the specialty restaurants. The bathtub was old and worn. The hotel lost power and could not get the generator to start back up. After 8pm there were no activities or entertainment.

We truly enjoyed ourselves! We had lots of fun! The only thing I didnt like about the hotel is the area, it is very close to the locals in the area. We did meet some wonderful ppl from all over the globe :) and staff was super nice, attentive and respectful! We would def come back. Definately a great experience!!

Great experience. Very friendly staff. Alot of walking up stairs. My legs hurt the second day but after that I was fine.

We went to Samana for our honeymoon and had such a great time! We booked the airport transfer when we booked the hotel knowing it would be easier and we are so happy we did. The transfer is long but so worth it. Once we got to the resort we were greeted with such kindness. We were promised a honeymoon upgrade that we never received but the language barrier made it hard to figure it out! The place is beautiful and the staff couldn't be nicer. Dario and Angel at the bar are the BEST!!!

my husband and i reserve for the sea view room and it was breath taking. the experience at the hotel was super lovely and the food super gourmet. i would go back definitively and take my family. but is best for couples.

Just got back 06-11-2012. View from our room was beautiful!. Our beds were hard and the pillows were about 2 inches thick! Buffet was good for the most part. Very warm in the dinning area. The premium "themed" restaurants were ok, however the Maitre'D was very snobbish and unfriendly, he handed my wife and I dirty glasses at the gourmet restaurant, there was also a dead lizard on the floor at the table next to ours! As a matter of fact 90% of the male staff were very aloft and snobbish, there were a few that treated us well, especially Victor. The female staff were excellent and very kind, especially Sorquey, the bar tender at the main beach. A couple of disturbing things happened while we were there. Early Saturday morning when we went to the main pool, a man stood next to the wall in the water on the dark side of the pool, I looked down and he was masturbating in the water while watching the women on the opposite side of the pool. I promptly told my wife and child and went to the hotel staff, where I was told..."What could we do about t?". I was disgustingly amazed! Then the pool activities director (The guy who calls the bingo games) tried to pick up my wife! He'd enlisted her to play a ring toss game and she was one of the winners. He told her that if she went to the Disco that he would give her her prize there. She started to feel uncomfortable and said "No, thanks, I don't disco, and I'm here with my baby and husband". He then said "Leave your baby with your husband and come tonight." Unbelievable. Very unengaged male staff except when trying to get a date!

not very impressed with the staff at the front desk! they did not have our reservation and put us down at the off premises location for our room! they did not have 2 double beds and we had to spend our week with a king bed and a roll a way! then the toilet broke and the could not fix it until the next day and it made a racket! could not sleep! the the keys would not work for the room and we were locked out for over an hour twice! and the front desk was not accomodating at all! pretty much said we had to live with the inconveniences! not a good way to earn repeat business! will definitely go back to samana dominican republic but will visit a different hotel for sure!

we had it a wonderful time, super location on top of the hill, place is kept up well, food is great including the gourmet restaurant, few minutes away you have to visit playa rincon, a fantastic beach, overall an unforgettable experience
