The PUNTACANA Hotel

The Puntacana Hotel was a great choice. It is very close to the airport (around 10 minutes) and the whole area is just amazing. I have to warn you that the hotel is a resort far from everything so if you plan to leave the hotel you can use buses (for free) that come back and forth to the hotel every hour (this helps but is not ideal since the buses only go to 3 other places: another beach 5 minutes away from the hotel, a small shopping area (very small) and another place which I dont remember). We ended up renting a car because depending on the bus was not cool and we are lucky we did it cause we go to know other amazing places which we may have never know otherwise. The hotel itself has its own beach, a big pool, several activities, and an amazing breakfast and some restaurants with regular prices. But after some days we needed to get to know the area outside the hotel a little bit more. I have to warn you about taxis. Simple dont take taxis in Punta Cana! They are crazy expensive! Renting a car ended up being cheaper for us!

The resort area was beautiful and provided the perfect setting for unwinding or finding interesting things to do. It seemed like a very family friendly place and a good place for gold, neither of which applied to me personally. Everything more or less shut down at night (also not overly important in my case). The food at the more casual restaurants did not seem to be freshly prepared, but the meal at La Yola was excellent.

Great hotel and resort! Very beautiful, spacious, well kept, extremely clean. Rooms not quite as fancy looking as advertised, but clean and functional with complimentary coffee and bottled water every day. Very efficient air conditioning. No minibar or fridge, but overall good rooms to relax after a hot day. Excellent breakfast buffet(included) right by the beach. Beautiful beaches with plenty of chairs and towels, food and drinks in close proximity. Very quiet stretches of beach within walking distance - picture perfect! Several restaurants available with very good food at regular western restaurant prices, neither cheap nor overly expensive. Attentive and polite service staff without exception. A total pleasure to be at this hotel. Two caveats: 1. Rather quiet and family / couple oriented hotel. Perfect in our case, but completely wrong choice for spring break madness-seeking folks. 2. Guest service staff with limited organizational skills and efficiency. Scheduled shuttles and taxis should be double/triple checked.

All of the staff were very friendly and always helpful. The premises are constantly groomed. Food is good and the drinks are great value.

When we first arrived at the hotel, we noticed that the room was damp. We just assumed that it was because the AC was off. However, we realized it was because there was a problem with the room. When we woke up, there were puddles of water in the bathroom, near the sliding doors, and on some of the walls. We complained to the staff and they moved us to another room. The pool area was very nice, but the bikes were broken. Some of the staff in the resort store tried to overcharge us for chips and some other items. We had to correct them because we had stopped by the store earlier and asked about some of the prices. That was how we knew that they were trying to cheat us. I also lost my cell phone and I tried to talk to the staff about it. I had to wait for someone to arrive at the courtesy desk and when they did, that was another problem. One person didn't speak English, so I had to wait for someone else. This person would arrive an hour later. In conclusion, I was finally able to make a report, but I had to leave the next day.

All the employees are incredibly nice and make you feel awsome. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so bring your own OFF unless you'd like to pay $30.00 for a small bottle. Rent a car if you want to go see other places otherwise you will have to rely on locals to find your way around which it's difficult unless you speak their language. You don't have to worry about buying pesos...the exchange rate varies everywhere..so just forget about counting every peso...just enjoy yourself. The Hotel is beautiful if you are planning to rest and eat...wonderful breakfast.

we had a great time at the punta cana hotel.

We had 7 full days to enjoy in Paradise, the rooms were up to date and really clean. Everything was great, morning breakfast and activities that you could sign up for while we were there like; scuba diving, swimming with stingrays and sharks, it was all amazing. The prices for lunch/dinner and gift shop were spendy but it was all located in the gated resort.

We had many things to do at the resort, 5 beaches, water sports, jungle trails, and the golf course. Even though we do not play golf we had a nice time, Ill recommend this resort to anyone that is looking for a relaxing time, if you want party and beer this is not the place. Very nice for couples there was a spa and even a ranch. Not many shopping options aside from the village that was available through a free shuttle. Food was good but is not included in my package

Hotel is beautifully located. Everything is organized well. It was our best vacation ever!
