Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana Adults Only- Unlimited Luxury

My girlfriend and I wanted a relaxing, peaceful getaway. Secrets Royal Beach was the perfect solution - the beach and some pools areas were very nice and tranquil - perfect for reading and daydreaming. Other pool areas were a bit more active if we felt like a change of pace. We dined in four of the eight restaurants - all were very good. The buffet restaurant (Riviera) offered a splendid variety and everything was fresh and delicious. Activities (zip-lining, horseback riding, etc). were easily arranged through the hotel guest services desk. We will certainly return to this property.

If you are looking for a week of fun in the sun this is a good place to go. The food is just ok and in many times over salted. The pool area is big but turns into a party every afternoon, the beach is beautiful and more relaxing than the pool. Service here is excellent, the staff is friendly, attentive and very nice. Night time entertainment was always different and a fun way to end every day. The room is just ok, kind of musty in the humidity, but it's not terrible. Overall food and room are just ok, service, beach and entertainment were the highlights for me. It's not high class luxury with some misses but not a bad place to go. Go to the spa it was wonderful!

The hotel was everything that was described and the adult only was fanastic. Very relaxing and peaceful. Great activities during the day and evening. One of my best vacations!

The food was terrible. Got some attitude from staff, though some were also really, really great. Nice location. Overall, very nice trip.

Very nice resort & great beach! Grounds are perfectly kept by staff. Rooms were nice & cleaned perfectly. Beach is awesome, great breeze, very clean. Food is pretty good, but not outstanding! Some restaurants require long pants and collared shirts. Does not make a lot of sense! We saw people going in with ratty jeans with holes in while nicely dressed men in shorts were turned away. If you are going to require long pants make them dress long pants!!! Staff is great, always helpful and smiling! Entertainment is pretty good, kind of cruise ship feeling! Fun place to go with a group of friends.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Secrets Royal Beach. The resort and beach are beautiful. We had a tropical view room in the south ( Mar Esmeralda) building. The room is just as pictured on the Secrets website and everything worked well. This type room is located on the opposite side of the buildings from the central pool and garden area. Try for a room as close to the beach to have closer proximity to the restaurants, pool and beach. However, the most distant room from the beach is only about a 4-5 minute walk. Poolside rooms in the north (Cielo Azul) building enjoy sun all day. Guests can eat at any Secrets or Now Larimar restaurant. All that now has to offer is a quick walk away. We had no wait for seating at any meal. Meals and service were generally very good. The Mexican night buffet was our only disappointment. Waiters and house staff are happy to serve, seem eager to accommodate your wishes and most have a great sense of humor. Being able to speak some Spanish is useful, will increase your enjoyment but it is not imperative. We especially enjoyed times when Nelis, Esterling, Angel, Zamora or Jose A were helping us. Chairs at poolside are at a premium. I don't know how early guests stake out the chairs with their towels. Those around the bar pool were gone by 8:30 AM each day. We did find 2 together in other areas around the pools each day. It is good idea to put a personal item or magazine on your chair to keep chair hijackers from stealing your chair while you are gone. We had that happen twice with people putting their own towel over ours and feigning ignorance that the chair already was being used by someone else. Chairs by the beach are easier to find, except under the palapas. We preferred our chairs to be under the numerous palm trees by the beach. The beach is wide, white and palm tree lined. You can walk the beach uninterrupted for about 20 minutes north and almost an hour south. Seaweed is groomed each morning and again during the day. The Internet was functional. We paid $60 for one week unlimited use. The next option was $25 for 25 hours. Signal did not reach the beach and varied from 1-3 bars in our room. Speed was not a problem. A few small annoyances were when one of our robes disappeared and never reappeared despite asking for one, not having hand towels one day or wash clothes another. The pool and beach chair towel game was frustratating. Skip the introduction to the resort for "coupons" which seems to be a lead-in to a timeshare pitch. We also did not understand why our transfer agency did not just give us a return trip time the day we arrived versus making us return the next morning at 9:30 AM to get our time and to hear about potential tours. If I wanted to hear about tours, I would go ask. Overall, this is great place to stay for a relaxing time at a beautiful location that is well maintained. The resort's small size and adults only friendly atmosphere keep things peaceful and enjoyable. We would gladly return.

Eveything was great !!!!!! The staff was always very accomadating. Weather was fantastic.

The resort is very well maintained. Beautiful grounds, clean rooms and facilities. Great entertainment, dance lessons on the beach, water aerobics, live music each night and other activities. We really enjoyed this part. Things that need improvement: Restaurant service is not good. The worse experience we had was at the Japanese steak house. Food was overcooked, everything was cold and didn't taste at all like it should. Drinks and service at the pool bar not good. Beach towels need to be replaced as they are overused and stained. Toiletries should include conditioners. Its a basic thing in a resort of this scale. Also lights in the bathroom need to be redone. Impossible to do the makeup.

The hotel is located in a wonderful beach. The staff was very kind and customer oriented. The food and restaurants can improve, nothing impressive. The facility is really nice and comfortable.
