Punta Cana hotel enchants with Arena Gorda address, multiple eateries
Located within the Riu resort complex, Riu Palace Punta Cana All Inclusive towers over Arena Gorda, a pristine stretch of white sand dotted by palm trees. The palatial resort beckons with 612 rooms styled with old-world furniture and earth tones, plus multiple a la carte and buffet restaurants for any occasion. A kids' club for children ages 4 to 12 entertains with supervised activities so that adults have private time for water sports or a spa treatment.

Great resort
Lovely resort, rooms were musty but you got used to it. Staff very nice and helpful. Would have liked better room service choices and more snack/ between meal options. Meals were disappointing especially in the so called "speciality restaurants' meals were luke warm and overcooked. Great drinks and service at the bars. Be aware of the transportation service that you book from Orbitz, we had to meet with the rep on numerous occasions, wasting our time while he tried to sell us other excursion packages ! Van used to pick us up from airport had seen better days to say the least.

my wife and i had fantastic time.
we spent most of our time at the pool it was fabulous. we did go on a dune buggy tour there again it was a fantastic experance. we would this resort to everyone.

Best Resort EVER!!!
Since we've got there all the staff treated us like we were the only guest at the hotel, Riu Palace Punta Cana should be a 5 star hotel, service was the BEST!!! food was excellent, great rooms, close to the beach, alot of activities, but to us...the SERVICE WAS FIRST CLASS IN EVERY WAY!!! LOVED IT.

Ultra and Rocket Diver
All around great place to see!
We arrived and received a quick briefing of the hotel with a cocktail at the reception desk in the beautiful lobby. Things just got better from there, the room was spotless and we always had fresh towels and anything else we needed. Room service was quick and very polite. The pool was clear and uncrowded every day. The beach was quite and well maintained. All the resturants were wonderful, the food was tasty and the staff was great. The nightly show at the hotel were a highlight, great entertainment every night. We even went to the casino one night, it wasn't as large as I expected but had a little of everything you could want. We took a snorking trip to the coral reef and saw some of the local fish. Overall it was the best trip we have ever taken and would go back anytime.

Great property
This was perfect for us. We were looking to enjoy ourselves but at a very laidback pace. Overall customer service was awesome! The guys at the pool bar were very pleasing with our requests.Very friendly staff. Great food, beautiful beach. You can access the other Rius. Room service is available. Prompt service.This is perfect for couples.

Top-Notch Hotel
The Riu Palace Punta Cana far exceeded our expectations! The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and the service is outstanding! We have stayed at several all-inclusives and this resort had the friendliest staff that we have ever encountered. Everything was done with a smile. The room itself was not very large, but who spends time in the room anyway? Even though it was small, there was a separate sitting room complete with a couch and tv. The beds were hard but a pad that the staff placed on the bed corrected that problem. The food was good, and for once, I can honestly say that it was worth making reservations for the ala carte restaurants. We really liked the Brazilian and gourmet restaurants. I really enjoyed the day spa. I purchased a package that combined 5 services and it was as nice or even better than some of the spas I have visited here in the states. I am not kidding - top notch!

Short walk from hotel
There is a market a short walk down the beach. Take the walk and make sure you offer much less than they are asking. We bought a beautiful bracelet for a fourth of what they originally asked. Also, don't bother to purchase the freshly made palm leaf baskets or hats. They are beautiful but the agents at the airport will confiscate them.

I've been to Better
Not to complain too much as I had a wonderful vacation. The smell of must in the room was a major dissatisfier, if it wasn't for the wonderful receptionist at the spa I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the room. She however gave me some incence and another air freshener for the room. The resort lacked atmosphere and the entertainment left alot to be desired. Standing in line every morning to book the a-la-carte resteraunt was not the best of experiences. However the a-la-carte resteraunts were wonderful. The beach was beautiful and we did take advantage of the spa and fitness center. Again I have alot of praise for the receptionist at the Spa she out did herself in givig us ideas on where to visit and helping me to rid the room of the bad odor.

2nd Vacation To Riu
I took my mother and daughter on my first trip then I had to go back with My husband. I'm planing on going back with all my family I love this hotel. My husband was expecting more choices when it came to fish but over all it what good.

A great vacation
The Riu is just an excellent place. This is the second Riu Palace we have stayed at, the first one in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. They are both beautiful! This one is newer and has a few more amenities and detailed touches. The rooms are great, and the staff puts a new flower accented decoration with a towel in your room everyday that they make it up. We came in to a heart, had it reformed to a swan the second day, and so forth. The staff is super friendly and very eager to please. We had an excellent time. I would recommend it to any of my friends and family!!

There is not much off the property, but you can go to all the other Riu hotels in the complex. One has a disco tech and one has a casino. There are tons of activities to take part in on the property so there is really no need to leave.

Perfect Choice
The hotel is an excellent choice for an all inclusive resort. The beach is one of the best we have ever been to. The room was very nice and confortable. The food is very good. and the entire staff is very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to any one in need of relaxation and a real vacation.
