RIU Palace Punta Cana All Inclusive

My wife and I stayed for a week with 2 other couples. Weather was perfect, rooms and grounds were clean, staff was fantastic, and the food was good. I would have no problem returning or recomending this place to other travellers.

We have stayed at a Riu property before and were very happy. This Riu however, the front desk staff was not helpful and at times rude. Our room smelled a strong smell of mold. When we arrived home all our clothes smelled. They smelled even after several washes.

The hotel was very nice and the staff weas very excellent in providing what I ever needed to make my stay enjoyable. There were plenty activities to do during the day which was good but there was no night life or activities avialable after a certain time.

The place is beautiful and the staff is very customer friendly and focused. The only downside was that our room, which was located on the first floor, even with the AC felt a bit humid and the sofa smelled a bit moldy. I always travel with a travel size can of lysol which helped with the smell. That is why I rated the room cleaniness as 3 - it wasn't great but wasn't horrible either. I also rated dining a 3 since its kind of inconvenient to make daily reservations from 8 to 10:30am and you can only make 1 reservation at a time for the specialty restaurants. It would be great to be able to make all of your reservations in one session.

Great Hotel Great Experience. Second time staying at this hotel and will be back next year. Have stayed at other RIU hotels around the country and have always been impressed. Love the Punta Cana location and this is the best of the 4 RIU's on the beach. Good rooms, lots to do and the beach is great being able to walk it for miles if your into that. Not much of a pool person with the beach right there but it too is very nice. Excellent food, excellent service, super friendly hotel staff. I dont think you can go wrong at this hotel or location

air condition was not good enough as I expected, since humidity was high you could smell mold in air. Service, housekeeping and people excellent. The beach and ambient extraordinary.

my husband and I went there for a little r & r. I had booked a"supierior jr suite w/ a view. when we arrived we were told by a gentleman at the front desk that our room was ready but he spoke to his manager and could upgrade us by paying a 100.00 more a night or tip the front desk which did not sit well w/ us.the bellman took us to our "supeiror jr suite" which the view from the patio was a roof and the room smelled of mold. My husband and i went back to the front desk and advised them that is not the room we payed for.He saw us coming and already had the key to the correct room we payed for. We ended up w/ a beautiful room w/ a view of the pool and beach but thats what we had payed for!!! be aware of the scam,the front desk was going to make money off of us for something we already payed for. bring all your paperwork including the description of the room you payed for. I ran out of toilet paper and told the front desk, ended up having to get it myself. That never happened to us in Aruba

Great acccomodations, great service, the food could be improved greatly.

Typical of the Riu's, the all inclusive aspect is well worth the price. Food, drinks, entertainment, all in one.The beachfront stretched of miles, as it was connected to four other Riu hotels made the beach the best part of the trip.Mixed reviews on the staff. Some were unfriendly, others like [...] the bartender, and [...] the server had great customer service.

My adult daughters and I enjoyed a week at the Riu for a second time. The people, food and staff help to make your stay the best possible.Would go again tomorrow!
