RIU Palace Bavaro -All Inclusive

The hotel is full of staff members that are pleasant and ready to assist in any issue or service that may arise. I would recommend the RIU Bavaro in Punta Cana to any company or family on vacation. One side note is the sister RIu hotels you may use to do lunch and other activities you just cannot use the RIU Macao because it is COUPLES ONLY!

This was my second visit to Punta Cana. My first at this resort. Would stay here again. Everything was 5 star, The only negative I could find was the AC wasn't that great in the room.

The pros staff very nice and helpful, the rooms and hotel are very clean, although the pool could be cleaner. The cons the food isn't really great it is ok at best we had a flight cancelation and got one free night at the melia and the food was way better but we like the riu room better. Wi fi was free and worked great. All and all it was a nice vacation with disappointing food.

We stayed at the Riu bavaro palace for a week and loved it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We needed to change rooms to a closer one since I had just had surgery and couldn't walk that far and they moved us with no problems. Decor is very pleasing. Beach is beautiful. Shows are ok to watch have seen better in Riviera but they work hard to put on a performance. Only negative thing was wind every day except one during our stay, think that is a norm for them. The food was excellent all the time, two buffets and the specialty restaurants. We only ate at the Japanese one it was just ok. The drinks were good also and the bartenders especially down at the pool were very generous with the alcohol. Didn't go to the disco but heard from others it was sketchy , outside people can go there to and they charge you for the drinks. If you like to sight-see there is not much to do there, a few excursions to an island and zip-lining, not much for shopping they took us to a high end mall Palma villa which we did not want to go to, we wanted an authentic shopping village which we found later after hiring a taxi to get back to hotel because they left us there and we didn't want to wait hours to be picked back up. There are shops lined down a street by the hotel probably best prices of anywhere. Don't go to shops on the beach unless you like to be hounded relentlessly, we are used to bartering down in Cancun riviera but these guys are awful to deal with I was ready to leave immediately. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was my 4th vacation in Punta Cana and Riu Palace Bavaro is the best hotel I have ever stayed. Room was cleaned twice a day - in the morning and before bed time. everythiong is new and in modern style. restaurants have perfect deliciious food. Beach has pure white sand without rocks and broken shells. Staff is very friendly and provide great service. You really feel like you are in a 5 star hotel! Will definately go back!!!

MY DAUGHTER HAD HER WEDDING THERE AND THAT WAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL THING. Do not drink the water in any form unless it is in a bottle. The staff is friendly but not well trained. The head clerk at the front desk is especially well trained the others are not. They are nice in a more of a fake sort of way. The rooms are average the beds are not as good as they could be. Some mold smells in the rooms but not too bad. The resort can smell like a sewer some times but it is not any different from any resort in this type of country. The public resort is very nice and the food is good. Be careful of the food that has been out too long. They only serve hot milk for the coffee. no cream or half/half. Most of the staff cannot speak English only Spanish. If you do not speak Spanish you might have to look for someone who can translate for you. I would not go back to DR for the resorts. They are nice but the country seems unstable and un-policed. I would not want to be outside the resort areas at night. Nor would I walk around the city. It is rough. DO NOT GO SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS. IT IS A REAL RIP OFF. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SWIM WITH THEM. THEY ARE PENNED OUT IN THE OCEAN IN A CRUEL SORT OF WAY. THE SNORKELING IS OK BUT A DRINKING ADVENTURE MORE SO. THE BEACH PARTY THEY TAKE YOU TO IS NOT A BEACH PARTY BUT A SWIM IN A COVE WITH SEAWEED AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

It was very nice holiday. Everything was great. Just recommend to everyone

Great Resort! The grounds are maintained on a daily basis therefore giving the resort that "lush" feel to it. Our ocean view from the third floor was AMAZING. The room was serviced everyday (including the mini-bar) The staff here are truly wonderful and try to cater to your every need. The entertainment at the pool bar is extremely funny and keeps you engaged with several games that one may join in. The only downfall is the food selection at the buffet. The food choices are sub-par at best and really cater more to the "European" crowd. The drinks are amazing (Brugal,Mamajuana, Jack) being my faves!! I cant forget the RED RED Wine! A great 4 star resort which included everything I desired with the exception of the poor food choices which degrades it down 1 star. Overall, great resort with a great staff.

We really like the RIU chain of resorts and this one was just as good as the others we've stayed in. The resort was very clean overall and the staff was very attentive. They even gave us an additional hour and a half after check out time without an additional charge. We would highly recommend the VIP area where we had access to our own swimming pool and swim up bar. My only complaint is the food wasn't the best at the reservation restaurants but the buffets were good. Will stay here again if we go back to Punta Cana.

food was not upto expectation we are vegeterains and almost starved as they had nothing for us..........room service menu was very limited. the biggest problem was language not understanding English and trying to sell everything even hotel staff
