Ocean Blue and Sand Beach Resort- Punta Cana All Inclusive

Great beach and pool. Hotel room was average and tended towards tired feel. Staff was very helpful. Distance to restuarants could be very long from building 6. Food was average to fair. If you don't get in line 30 minutes before the speciality restuarants open you will have a long wait to get in.

I could not believe that they had no room available when we arrive. We had a reservation made though [...]..and shipped us off to another resort and spent 2 days there and wasted another day traveling back to Ocean Blue and waiting around for a room that would not be ready till..1500..I am very hesitant to book a trip again by [...]..You are never sure of a room waiting for.you..

very clean, rooms are large with great views, great amenities. food and drink were great for an all inclusive. excursions were excellent. especially zip lining its a must. both safe and fun. a little rough getting up the mountain (1 hour ride) but worth every minute of it. beach was beautiful, lots to do for all ages. we celebrated my parents 40th wedding anniversary on the beach with a vow renewal ceremony. we had ages from 8-70 and everyone enjoyed themselves. i would recommend this resort and i would also go back.

The resort is a beautiful property although compared to other trips I had taken it seemed a little inconvinent to get food and beverage. The biggest draw back had to be the staff at the resort constantly hasseling you to upgrade to privledge. But I am a person going on vacation to have a good time regardless.

getting to the resort was a bit out of the ordinary, place was ok but our room was terrible furniture was destroyed, i would not go back and im disappointed you put me in that room , the whole building was under construction except for our room, cutting and banging was on almost all day long, the other couple we went with paid the same price and where put in the privelge building which was 10 times better , i'm very didisappointed

Loved the beach and the pool. Had a terrible view from the room. The food was not very good, especially Route 66

the only complaint i have is i ordered a hot tub but didn't get one. other than that it was wonderful...but i paid extra for upgrade.

the experience was very good, the food and room was conforted, I was to trabel the next year to Dominican republic.

The staff at Ocean Blue was very friendly and went out of their way to make us happy. The food was very good and there was always something different to try. In addition to the endless buffet, we ate at the Dominican Restaurant & Bucanero. Bucanero is on the beach and the lobster was HUGE. The Dominican restaurant was very good and my wine glass was never empty. There are bars located in just about any direction and the mini bar in the room was restocked each day. We wanted to try the Italian Restaurant, but it was closed on Wednesday and were leaving the next day.Our room was kept clean and had a balcony facing the pool in Privilege Villa 10. Privilege is a nice touch that includes comfortable pillow top beds, a picturesque beach section with a wonderful woman named Belkis who would bring us drinks and help with my high school Spanish. Privilege is not necessary to have a nice time at Ocean Blue, but I enjoyed the little extras like Super EZ check in & check out, the Privilege Lounge & Internet service. BTW, the Privilege Concierge [...] was always willing to help with ANYTHING and [...] welcomed us at the resort with iced towels and got us checked in before the stated 3PM. We only went to the pool a few times. There are 2 and they were very clean and hot, but we chose the beach for less noise and cooler waters. The pool area always had music and activities going on. The goal of this vacation was relaxation and the beach was more peaceful. Just a matter of choice.Mike's Coffee is a must. It's a Caribbean Starbucks with an extremely friendly staff and awesome desserts. I am glad that we chose Ocean Blue. We did not experience any of the problems that some other people posted. I was waiting for something to go wrong, but it didn't happen. Sometimes there was a slight language barrier, but it was easily overcome with a smile, my poor attempts at Spanish or (kind) hand gestures. Go for it & Enjoy!

For the value I will definitely recommend ,the Ocean Blue staff was excellent, music, entertainment, amenities, pool location and the great pool. they were more than willing to accomodate you in every way the all inclusive really stands up to thier name. the only thing we had problem with was the checkin process it took a very long time for the room to be ready. beside that i WILL DEFINITELY go back............Price was great for all the ameneties.
