Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - All Inclusive

We had a great stay. The waitstaff is amazing. However our hairdryer was broken. The sinks leaked onto the floor anytime you used it, so much that we had a mini flood every time we brushed our teeth. The controls on the airconditioner were not working so we could not get it cool. They forgot to clean our room one day, I had to call twice to get fresh towels that day. When we called and told the front desk about the problems twice they were very nice and promised to fix it but no attempt was made. Disappointed in availability of food for an all inclusive hotel; there are not pool side/beach side food options so at certain times you can only get room service if you are hungry (the buffet have certain hours). In my opinion the bed was not comfortable at all and the sheets were like sandpaper which doesn't feel good on a sunburn. Loved the beach, the pool side experience, the staff was soooo friendly, location was amazing, enjoyed all the food and all the drinks but could have had some improvements.

It's a beautiful hotel, very comfortable, well located. The staff was very polite and attencious. The restaurants "Il Botaccio" (italian) and "Asadito" are very good. But the fast food snack bar "La Bodeguita" is just horrorible. The Casino is very small and smooky. Besides this, the hotel is very nice. I' d go back there.

The hotel was indeed majestic. You had to walk a long distance to get to all the amenties available because everthing was so spread out. If walking is a problem this hotel is not for you. I did not like the segregation of the "normal" population from the "elite" population of the Majestic Elegance club members. This population should not be on the same grounds. The food was abundant, lots of selections, unfortunately it was not very good. Liked where I stayed last year MUCH better.

The resort is so huge it seems private. The rooms in the hotel are amazing. Equipped with an indoor jacuzzi, private balcony and amazing shower. Only thing the beds weren't to comfortable. The Sushi restaurant was superb great experience and food.

Before choosing this hotel for my daughter's destinstion wedding, we read several reviews of this hotel and others on multiple sites. The most interesting thing we discovered is simply this: If you are the type of person who enjoys yourself no matter the small bumps in the road, you will have a fantastic time. If you are a complainer, on the other hand, you will find plenty to complain about. Example: even with the A/C cranked down low, all of the rooms feel damp. Solution: Nothing- you are in a warm, moist, sub-tropical country- so jump in the pool and order another cocktail! Example 2: If you are a Bourbon drinker, you are out of luck; they don't have any. Solution: switch to Rum! Dominican Rums are quite good, either by themselves or in cocktails. Even though the property is constructed of nice materials, i.e. marble and granite, there is plenty of maintenance that could be done, like replacing all of the missing tiles on the pool bottom. Once again, my answer is "So What?" The hotel is located in a beautiful beachfront location, and the vast majority of the staff is friendly and makes you feel that they are glad you are there. So enjoy it! If you are a seasoned world traveler, you will certainly say to yourself, "5 stars? Really?" The property is not 5 stars compared to every other place in the world, but is definitely 5 stars compared to other beach resorts in third world countries.

BEST PLACE EVER! Would not be the same with out Felix,Maxima,or Bladmier!!! Room was a little hot for my wife and I. A/C did not work well at night and room got too hot. Small price to pay for a perfect vacation. We WILL be back!!!!

Went with family, While swimming my 700 dollar Canon Camera was stolen from my beachside cabana. Management says they check employees upon leaving. They only pay employees $50 US a week so it is a thieves den. See other reviews and goi anywhere else

We went to Majestic Elegance for 2 weeks and it was great. Our two teenager kids had entertainment for the whole day long and we were able to relax on the beautiful beach. The restaurants were great and the staff were very dedicated. At the Steak House we enjoyed chatting with their happy hostess, Mabel and for breakfast we always started the day with Juan Cesar's smile. They were great! Our only complain was the very slow room service and the pillows, which were very small and not comfortable at all. The stores at the hotel had very reasonable prices, but be careful not to buy the Mamajuana. This drink, which is delicious, is not permitted at the customs in the US. If you want to bring it over, just buy the wood/herbs bottle with no alcohol, and put the wine/rum/honey in the bottle when you get home.

I had greater expectations when I booked my family vacation at Magestic. The scenary beach was amazing. However the buffet services and room comfort was not up to the standards I had in mind. All the food in the buffet was opened and attracted many flies onto it. Seeing the flies on the food made me lose my appetite. The comfort level in the room was not great. The air conditioner was not working in my room and I felt hot the whole time. Not only that, there were ants in my sink, champaigne glass and jacuzzi. The elevator kept breaking down, and I was on the fourth level of the quad. I wasnt too pleased with my stay since it could have been a lot better.

The beach and the pool were great! The food at the buffet and the Japanese place was great ! I do NOT recommend the steak house. Our room was big and included a jacuzzi tub, double sink and shower , but was not always cleaned so good -- the maid must have broken a glass and didn't sweep it up properly, so my wife ended up cutting her foot ! Not enough towels and bathmat were consistently supplied on daily basis The lobby was huge with plenty of seating! The Michael Jackson show was great !
