Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - All Inclusive

First time to an all-Inclusive for 4-days and could not have been happier with the quality of the food, drinks and service. The drinks were what you would expect, food was excellent, Japanese restaurant was superb. We also ate at the steak house, buffet and french restaurant. The rooms, restaurants, pool and beach were very clean and staff always attending to ones needs. The staff organized activities and or provided board games. Have traveled to Miami South Beach, Bahamas, Bermuda and Aruba and would definitely return can not beat the value. The one negative was the amount of people who didn't tip, even though this is an all-Inclusive tipping should still take place if the service warrants and here it did. We took along $100 and tipped appropriately for services rendered and the staff was very appreciative.

We went to Majestic Ellegance based on a recommendation from a friend. We really enjoyed the friendly staff and all the activities the hotel plans. There is no way you can get bored. They offer free dance, Spanish ,and fitness classes everyday, water activities and different evening performances along with other activities. The staff pride themselves in having you enjoy your stay, along with experiencing the beauty of their country. Where we feel that Majestic can improve the experience is by working on the quality of workmanship of their rooms---however when we discussed a plumbing issue we had they quickly accommodated us. Overall it was an excellent experience and we would return......

The hotel is enormous with lots to do. The only thing is there was no outdoor jacuzzi, but the rooms were fantastic with a private whirlpool. Highly recommend this hotel for a getaway romantic or relaxing vacation.

We were greeted with the 'Majestic' their signature drink when we arrived. Our room was not ready at 2pm when we arrived, so the staff sent us to eat at the buffet in the meantime. The food was incredible. Our first room had a major water leak coming from the ceiling over the jacuzzi. Once notified, the staff was extremely responsive and moved us to a new room the following morning. The beach was out of this world ! Clean, white sand and plenty of loungers. Also within close walking distance was a casino and local shopping. For those that enjoy nightlife, there was nightly entertainment including jazz, sax and piano, and magic shows, etc. Definitely worth the trip!

The Bartenders are great. [...]. Tip very generously even a few bucks. The average salary there is $170.00 a month. The staff is so friendly. The food is hit or miss. Steakhouse get the tenderloin or Chateaubriand. Japanese is good. All the restaurants in all resorts are the same way so don't expect too much from the food. Cleaning service is hit or miss. The first couple of days we had an older women and she was great. Everything done to perfection, even the towel animals with fresh flowers, then so so after that. Bring plenty of small American money for tips, The ATM's only dispense in DR Pesos. Bring plenty of sunscreen otherwise you will pay $30-60 for it there and you need it. Don't expect to be a sun worshiper either man is it hot and saw more people get burnt and sick from that that the sun. Bring Dramamine for nausea, Imodium, aspirin and any other prescriptions you will probably get a little something from the booze and food. you don't want to see the doctor that will cost you $1000.00. The show are entertaining but your not on Broadway so have another drink and enjoy. Very similar to cruise entertainment. It is hot and sticky no need for any heavy clothes. Bring enough Cigarettes they are $10 a pack at the resort, but I found the for $4 at the market. The market is out the gate you will be mobbed. You can talk them down to nothing. Bought two paintings he wanted $100 each. Bartered down to $100 for both then started to leave, got them both for $30. Everything at the gift shops are reasonably priced local items and the don't bother you.

Overall the trip was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful but had obviously just finished construction. The first room we had smelled like mold so we were switched to another room, but we had trouble with the AC. We were in the "Majestic Elegance Club" and while the accomodations were certainly better than the standard accomodations the concierge service WAS NOT. You must "request" the things that the brochure states you receive when you are an Elegance Club member or you will receive nothing. The Elegance Club staff was slow to respond to problems and had to be asked multiple times for assistance.

Mostly quiet and restful. Noisy around parts of the pool area. Food was quite good for the caribbean. Staff members were helpful and very personable. Some did not speak much english but always tried to understand what out needs were.

We stayed from May 22-May 27. The first few days it rained, which allowed for relaxation and enjoying the beautiful room. After that, it was sunny and HOT. The beaches were beautiful! Lots of mosquitos so bring bug spray if you are going. The food was pretty good. We ate at Flavours the most and really enjoyed the food. Oscar Garcia at 9 Doors was our favorite bar tender! He was very friendly and made the sushi bar fun. Overall a great trip and we are all ready planning our return.

The hotel was huge! We upgraded our room and it was well worth it. The food was really good and there was a wide selection of places to eat. The hotel staff was really nice, but not a lot of them speak English so that was difficult at times. We found it confusing to find our room when we first checked in and because there weren't too many people on the hotel staff that spoke English, it made it more frustrating. Other then that, the hotel was great, the staff was very friendly & nice, and we met a bunch of wonderful people. Would definitely go again & would stay in this hotel!

The resort is very clean, the rooms are spotless and comfortable. The swimming pool and the beach are the best two aspects of the resort. Casino is a great addition as well if you like to gamble. The disco wasn't spectacular but not too bad. Food wasn't that great but you can almost expact that from an all inclusive resort.
