Beautiful Hotel
It's a beautiful hotel, very comfortable, well located. The staff was very polite and attencious. The restaurants "Il Botaccio" (italian) and "Asadito" are very good. But the fast food snack bar "La Bodeguita" is just horrorible. The Casino is very small and smooky. Besides this, the hotel is very nice. I' d go back there.

Long walk from hotel
There is a nice artesanal village at the end of Arena Gorda beach, next to Ibero Star Hotel. It's a long walk from Majestic Hotel. You can go walking and go back with a taxi boat. It's Funny.

Fantastic Spring Break
Majestic Elegance was fantastic. First rate hotel and accomodations. Spacious rooms, pool, showrooms and restaurants. Our Jr Suite actually had 4 beds, then pushed 2 together to make it into a King. Never felt crowded even though place was full for spring break. Staff was very helpful and fun-engaging at getting people involved in pool and beach games, and bartenders were friendly and fun. Never felt pressured to tip, but left tips where felt appropriate. Wished we could have stayed longer. Food was pretty good - NOTE: more of what I would call normal portions as opposed to a bit larger portions we are used to in US, so on occasion we ordered a couple appetizers to go with meal. Italian and French restaurants were our favorites. Japanese was a ton of fun for all andd sushi bar available anytime. Shows were entertaining. Would suggest bringing your own insulated mug as bars will fill it for you and then would last a little longer than the plastic cups they gave you to take to the beach.

excellent resort great value
cutomer service and satisfaction appears to be shared by all staff. Great meal selections. We love the beach. Great surprise to find a full service restaurant with view & breeze located right there. Used the hotel's boats several times, booked snorkeling trip through the hotel. Also recommend the 4 hour dune buggie tour of the local area with visits to coffee plantation & Macao Beach. Impressed with high security of resort 24/7!

Simply Amazing!
The whole atmosphere and experience was amazing. My husband and I are fairly new to traveling abroad and have found this resort the best so far! We purchased the package based on a small budget, but found there was nothing small about the resort. Everything was grand, well kept, and the staff was so happy and cheerful. We actually met a couple down there that have been married for 32 years and for the last 25 anniversaries, they've been going to this resort... I'm sold! We bought a spa package, did the dolphin encounter, and spent a good deal of time in the ocean and pools. A tip for traveling here... brush up on your Spanish a little. It helped out enormously! Worth every penny! Cheers!

Best value for money
4 tennis courts, a plenty of restaurants, very pleasant staff, good animators, luxury rooms. Real city in the city ! Reasonable prices in inhouse shops. Welcome bottle of champaigne. Worth staying at!

beautiful resort would go back
This is one of the nicest resorts I've seen. The food was 5 star all the way. Including the buffet!! Our room was ground floor and at the pool. Couldn't ask for better service. All the housekeeping and wait staff were excellent!! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!

Great Couples Carib. Vacations
We just returned from DR and stayed in the all inclusive adults for 7 days. The experience was great. Loved the hotel, the service was fantastic, the food was great, , Entertainment daily was well organized and lots of fun! The whole experience was wonderful..... Looking forward to planning our next trip back! If you are looking for a fantastic experience to a Tropical Carib. Resort this is the place to go and stay....

The Best Overall Trip My Wife and I HAD
I have no idea how anyone could complain about this Experience. We stayed in the Elegance section, which I would strongly suggest. Service was excellent. The Beach is the best ever and I have been to Maui, Ca. and Florida. None even close. The food was real Good, but a little of limited selection. Did not bother us, but I could see picky eaters having a problem Over all a wonderful trip and we will defiantly be back. It is really a steal$$$ when you consider all you Get

Best Vacation EVER!
[...] I paid for the $17 per night upgrade to the Junior Majestic Suite, thinking that it would put us in the Elegance Club (adults only area). There are more perks within the Majestic for the Club members, but I just wanted to get away from the kids. Upon check in, we discovered that it was only a room upgrade, which wasn't part of the Club area. [...] After the stress of check in, the rest of the trip was FANTASTIC and it didn't really matter about not being in the upgraded section! All of the Club members ended up hanging at the big pool anyway as that is where the party was going on. The food was WONDERFUL, which was one of my main concerns going into this upon what I read in reviews prior to my arrival. I could not see one thing wrong with any of our meals. The food was beautiful! The drinks were strong and the nightly shows, some corny, but were still entertaining! Finally, the hotel.... I cannot say enough about this place. The beach was crystal clear and the sand was like none I have ever felt, soft, like peanut butter cookie dough! The pool was amazing! We did get a room that the back door opened right onto the pool and it was AWESOME! I needed a boost to get out, but it was so great to lay out on the beds in the morning and get some rays! After being in the Dominican Republic, I will never go to Mexico again. There is NO comparison!

In Hotel
All of the food was great, the buffet has something for everyone. We went to the French restaurant twice (La Gourmand), and the tenderloin steak was as good as any steak house we ever been to. The Japanese was fun and tasty! I decided to not try the Sushi, raw fish in hot weather....um, no. We never even went into the Italian or Steak house, as the buffet had different ethnic selections nightly.
