Fantastic couple getaway
It is the best all inclusive I have stayed in. The room was huge. Got two complementary champane during 3 night stay and a lot of other drinks. Has multiple good restaurants.

Couldn't really ask for more
Great all inclusive experience! I'd say the best part of the experience was the beach, the pool and wet bar, and the food/drinks! I was pretty wary of the food being a foodie, but i was pleasantly surprised! The restaurants are great (French and Italian were our favorites). Flavors buffet definitely takes some chances (randomly had a full 8 Moroccan dishes section!) and definitely commend them for that. I only wish there was more DOMINICAN food! Oh, the "snack" food is eh. Servers were generally really nice, and we honestly didn't tip... I heard you could get better service if you do, but they were plenty nice as is, amazingly. The grounds are very nice. The casino is small, but we don't gamble. It took 1/2 an hour to get there from the airport, and the surrounding area is pretty deserted, but we didn't leave the grounds at all. The massages were OK. We would definitely consider going back again.

The Japanese and French restaurants need reservations. Go to the "Relaciones" office at 8-9am in person to snag your spot the day of. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the next day!

Beautiful Resort but the Food is not 5 Stars
The resort itself is incredibly beautiful. The entrance and layout is great to look at and take photos of. The staff is great, and they have an entertainment staff whose job it is to get you to loosen up and play along in contests and games. Those guys were great!! The swimming pool was awesome. It is one long uneven lake shaped pool that had first floor rooms opening directly into it. You could literally jump into the pool from your first floor suite. The pool also had a swim up bar that served both adult and kid friendly beverages. The beach was not as beautiful as the photos show and had all sorts of plant life and pieces of palm tree floating in it. Pros: Great looking place. Good Staff. Great Pool area. Evening shows in the theater every night. 5-6 bars to go to. All inclusive food and beverage. Cons: The food was not great. 6 Restaurants and two of them were decent. The all you can eat buffet was not great and the Japanese place was downright awful. The steakhouse was decent, the italian place and the french place were the best two but they don't compare to what I could get in NYC. The all you can drink bars offered generic not so great tasting alcohol. One bar offered middle shelf drinks but all others served bottom shelf alcohol.

Stay away from the Japanese restaurant. It is one of the 2 restaurants out of the 6 that you have to make reservations for and it is downright awful. Best places are the French and Italian restaurants

Love to vacation 28

Overall our experience was great and this place is a great value. I would give this resort a 3.5 stars overall but I would absolutely recommend it for a vacation. If you are looking for Luxury, this is not where it's at, although it is very nice. The beach was perfect because there were tons of tiki huts that provided shade next to sunny areas...my husband likes the shade and I like the sun so it was just great! We were able to totally relax and really liked the fact that we could jump into the pool from our room.The food was just ok, but we expected that going in as we were forewarned. The chairs in our room were dirty and there was a large space under the front door that allowed bugs in which was disappointing. We did not do the elegance club and spoke with many people that did and it didn't seem to be worth it. We tried to save some money by not checking bags but had to spend $50 for 2 bottles of sunscreen when we got there.

Had a good time! Allot of what I read in the reviews turned out to be untrue in my experience there. The staff was pleasant to deal with and helpful. The food was OK for the most part and some dishes sent you back for second helpings. There is always something going on but the background noise level shuts down at 11:00 PM. The grounds, swimming pools and beach are clean, the layout is well done. The only real neg. I encountered was with housekeeping. They really need to get their act together. The maids would pick up the used towels and you might or might not get fresh ones. It sometimes took several calls to housekeeping to get replacement towels. With the weather and great beach, you will use the shower allot. IMHO it would take very little to make this a true 5 star travel spot!

For coffee ($5.00 per lb.)and MAMAJuana ($7.00 big bottle) to bring back with you. Take the free shuttle from the hotel to the mall (with supermarket) in San Juan. 25 min. drive time each way. Huge saving over the local hotel shops.

I would say OK to good Butler service was a joke and room service even worse. I feel asleep on the private adult only beach only to be startled awake by children a couple yards away. Don't get me started with the towel rule. Nothing like walking around with wet towels looking for the towel guy. People were nice and the ocean was beautiful!

Best vacation
The hotel was the best.Staff could't do enough for you.We stayed in the Elegance Clubwhich has no kids and was great. The food in the buffets were okay but the steak house was the best all the other restaurant were great also.The grounds are beautiful and well taken care off.I recommend th is hotel to anyone young and old. Fairly good vacation spot
Pros - The beach area and pools Cons - Not enough air-conditioned spaces and food was just ok. Rooms could have been a little cleaner. This is your typical all-inclusive resort. Nothing special.
