Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Pool, beach, casino, eaten in the restaurant, the intertaiment at night.etc. Nothing was mising. My previous travel, I miss the elegance of this hotel

The food was amazing at the italian, japanese and steakhouse restaurants (we didn't try the french and the seafood was just ok). Rooms were spacious, well maintained and cleaned promptly everyday. Pools were not overcrowded and very relaxing. A bit more rowdy near the swim-up bar but fun not obnoxious. Beautiful lobby bars for mingling with others. The only thing that sticks out in memory as being a problem was the temperature in the restaurants. My friend got married and we had her dinner at the steakhouse after the beach ceremony. It was so hot she had to leave to get her wedding dress off before she passed out. We all had a similar experience at the Japanese restaurant and cut our dinner short. I wouldn't definitely go back. The staff was great and we did not experience any of the negative aspects listed in other reviews. It was heavy on couples but we met some interesting singles as well to party with.

we loved the majestic elegance. the location is spectacular, the pool is quiet, the beach is turquoise. the service is fantastic. some days we wished for more prompt housekeeping service. we didn´t get our room serviced every day. there were many different food choices, even the vegetarians in our group were satisfied. the bar staff, maxima, juan francisco and felix in particular were wonderful. they exceeded our expectations and made our days at the pool carefree.

From the second you get there you are treated like royalty the staff was so friendly I loved everysecond of my trip. When they say all-inclusive they meant it, everything is top of the line fresh. I am already planning the next trip and I just left 3 days ago! It is the perfect atmosphere for couples, family, and friends. I stayed in the Elegance club where we had our private beach and private pools with Bali styled beds.

The place was great-the rooms were big and clean, we were in the Elegance Club section, couldn't ask for more service. This was our 7th time in Punta Cana and I rank this resort 4th in overall standings. Food was a little disappointing. We went on Monster Truck Safari - -(wasn't worth the price $90.00 each) The evening entertainment was very good and professional. Overall it was a very good trip.

The resort is absolutley beautiful. The pool is gorgous and the beach was perfect. We did have to wait about 2 hours while checking in for our room to be ready. And take full advantage of the room service. The Mexican tacos are great. We did the ATV and dunebuggy excution and had a blast. Items at the shops were a little expensive. Drinks were a little weak unless you asked for extra liquor, and make sure to drink the dark rum, the light stuff gave us heartburn.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Majestic Elegance in the elegance club. We went snorkeling, para sailing, wake boarding, spent a couple days lounging at the pool and the beach , visited every bar and restaurant in the resort (sports bar and 9 doors restaurant were our favorites)the service is uncanny, you never have to wait for anything.The rooms are beautiful, there is a jacuzzi in every room and closet space for two people, the beds are comfortable and the maid service is great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I wish we were there longer, if we go back to Punta Cana that will be our destination of choice.

This resort is unbelievable. the pool is relaxing and entertaining at the swim up bar. the restaurants i would recommend would be the steak house (Chateaubriand) and the Japanese restaurant. there are two shows performed every night at the theater which are nice. there are also two nightclubs and a casino. i would definitely recommend the elegance side because you can also go and use all there is to offer at the colonial side.

We really enjoyed sitting on the beach and people watching. The water was a beautiful blue color and it was nice and relaxing. Overall our stay was pleasant. The Majestic still needs to work through some maintenance issues regarding things like losing power, showers overflowing,and overall customer service for them to be considered a 5 star resort. I was also not impressed with the customer service I received via Orbitz with planning the trip. This far supercedes any issues I had at the hotel. I didn't get a survey to fill out on that yet.

We had a great time at Majestic Elegance! The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff treated us VERY well. We speak NO Spanish and had no trouble communicating with the staff. Most are bi-lingual and all had an excellent attitude. The resort was spectacular! The official website for the resort doesn't do it justice, they should really put up some better pictures. We stayed in the "regular" part of the resort instead of the "adults only" Elegance Club section. Reviews we'd read lead us to believe that the extra cost wasn't worth it and talking to EC guests while we were there confirmed that. Our room looked EXACTLY like the pics we'd seen, no "bait and switch" here! The grounds were immaculately maintained as well. We did venture down the beach to the flea market for what was supposed to be a 30 min walk (more like 50 minutes each way). We aren't fans of the high pressure sales of the local vendors but if you like haggling over price, you may enjoy it. I strongly recommend that you review prices on items in the shops within the resort first, though. We didn't and paid WAY to much at the flea market even after getting items for 50% of the original asking price. Unless you can calculate prices in your head, a small calculator would be helpful. The exchange rate in the resort was 36:1 (pesos to USD) but varied from 30:1 to 35:1 elsewhere. I don't know why. Also, many of the shops in the resort will also negotiate prices with you so don't be afraid to make an offer. We made two excursions. The "Caribbean Festival Stingray Bay excursion" was well worth the money. Even though we live on the Gulf of Mexico and are no strangers to StingRays and Sharks, the trip was alot of fun. The boat has a definite "Party" atmosphere with dancing by the crew and music. We chose the early trip but would probably take the afternoon trip if we were to do it again. Our other excursion was a "Canopy Tour" (Zip Lines). While the zip lines themselves were fun, it was about an hour trip each way in the back of a truck (you'll see 'em everywhere) snorting diesel exhaust fumes. The ride was scary at times (no traffic rules in the D.R. apparently) but you do get to see some of the country and once you're in the hills it's beautiful. There was only one negative about Majestic Elegance. The elevators to the rooms STANK! (the ones in the lobby were fine) I don't mean "musty", I mean they smelled like raw sewerage! I have to believe there is some sort of plumbing problem and perhaps it'll be fixed soon. We used the stairs almost exclusively. If you get a room near the elevator doors and smell anything like this, ask to be moved immediately, it's not going away! Enjoy this beautiful resort, relax, have a drink or twelve and take lots of pictures. There are professional photographers on-site, btw. They have some very affordable packages and it was nice to have some "real" pictures taken for our anniversary.
