wonderful place to relax
after several months of hectic traveling we needed a place to wind down and just relax. this place fulfulled our needs in every way. the rooms are spacious, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the food was very good and the staff was wonderful. our only down was the weather. it was windy several days as well as on and off showers on a few other days.

Fabulous hotel in Punta Cana
I strongly recommend this hotel eventually. This hotel is just 25min away from PUJ airport by bus. Beach is beautiful and not crowded, pool area is very cozy to relax. Room is clean and bed is very comfortable to get sound sleep. My only concern is food issue. Food is "not" fantastic. French and Italian was nice but buffet was just mediocre and Japanese was a nightmare. Sashimi smell fishy, rolls was like you can find in refrigerator at grocery store, Tepanyaki was just a mix of meat(or rice) and soy sauce with NO taste. I have not imagined we could find this kind of Japanese dish in 5 star hotel. This horrible japanese restaurant makes other restaurants more crowded.

Please, feel comfortable booking this hotel! It is what it describes itself to be....all-inclusive! No tipping, mini-bar stocked with WHATEVER you want, any juncture you want, any alcohol, any food...ANYTHING. The staff is always smiling & joking around with you. I enjoyed the food immensely. check in, room, airport transfer, all easy and top notch. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is their B.S. reservation system for their 4 ala carte resaurants (also included in the price).They will tell you every place is tightly booked, when you can see they are far from booked. Take my advise and just show up...they will seat you and you WILL enjoy the food. I will re-book this for next year. very luxurious, clean, nice clientele, clean, unbelievably soft beach, quiet, no kids and parents screaming at each other. Friggin loved it!

Paradise
We went the white sand Beach every day And every day was 80 degrees and sunny. This was the nicest beach I have ever been on. The sand was cool, even when the sun was hot. The water was bluish-green and clean of weeds. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Food was very good. Lots of choices. The staff was very friendly and fun.

Iberostar Grand Bavaro Hotel Punta Cana
The Iberostar Grand Bavaro Hotel is one of the most amazing resorts we have ever visited. From the moment you are greeted with hot towels and champagne to the moment you are escorted to your departing airport transportation you are not only pampered with the vast amenities that the resort offers, but moreso; with the sincere warmth of an amazingly attentive staff. We have travelled to other "all inclusive" resorts which virtually all seemed to turn out to be "semi-inclusive", and where the staff seemed to follow you around looking for whatever they could get from you. The only thing we experienced from the staff at the Grand Bavaro was their sincere desire for you to enjoy yourself, even if that meant just sticking your feet in the pool. What impressed us the most was the quality and diversity of dining facilites available. Guests can choose to make reservations at any one of the specialty restaurants; Italian, Surf & Turf, French and Japanese or enjoy dining at the sumptuous buffet. Any choice made is an absoulte good one!

Great relaxing vacation. Rooms spacious, people friendly (international crowd), service wonderful. Food was much better than typical DR fare. Not croweded at all at pool and beach. Christmas lights were very nice. IB grand is a place to hang out at night if you want a quiet, laidback evening. If you are in a more party/festive mood, head over to IB Bavaro at night as the bar and stage are very close lots of people go there to enjoy the evening.

Great food. Great Beach. Great Pool. Great Shows. Great Clubs/Bars. Great Poolbar. Great Service. Perfect Weather. Great Views. Great Golf. Great Golf Carts. Great Staff. Great Beds. Great Rooms. Great Guests. Great Times. So in summary, it is great. If I had to make any negative comment. The casino, is the size of a small studio apartment, not much of a casino.

Great stay at the Iberostar Bavaro Grand
We had an amazing stay at the Iberostar Bavaro Grand Hotel! We were treated like VIPs, the food was amazing, and it was a wonderful place to unwind. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to vacation.

Take advantage of your gold wristband and visit the other Iberostar resorts. There are plenty of shops and places to buy gifts on the other resorts.

everything was great except transportation. i wood have liked to have my departure scheduled slightly differently. i had a 3pm flt and was scheduled for departure pick up at 12:30. that's not enough time, especially with stopping at other iberostar properties.

Iberostar Gran Bavaro
The service at this hotel was the best I ever experienced. The staff was uniformly helpful and friendly and it could not have been better. I was able to truly relax and the beach was beautiful; white powder sand with no rocks, or shells and very clean. Even though this was all inclusive, the waiters on the beach came very frequently. This was the best place in the Caribbean that I have ever visited.
