Wonderful Vacation
My wife and I travelled with our 7 year old son. We stayed four nights. This resort is all we could ever ask for. Beautiful beach, large pools, plenty of chairs in sun and shade, and unlimited food and drinks always available. We will go back next year. We have nothing negative to say about the resort.

Iberostar Dominicana - Dominican Republi
Our stay at the Iberostar Dominicana offered something for everyone whether it was doing the day or evening. The evening entertainment was superb and local people were extremely nice. The COCO Tour representative at the resort was very helpful in setting up our excursions and making sure all of our needs were met.

Depending on the activity the tour companies provided the transportation from the lobby to the attraction and back. Most of the tours included lunch and were priced reasonably.

Just OK
Great location, poor food selection at Ala Carte restaurants and buffet, poor wine and liquor selection. Good activities, poor nightly entertainment. Excellent beach, no swim up bar.

Great Vacation
The best all inclusive that we have stayed at. Two buffets and 5 theme restaurants served excellent well prepared food with great service. The dress code was enforced at lunch through dinner in the main hotel buffets while the beach/pool locations offered a casual but extensive buffet. Facilities were clean and the gardens very well kept. The beach was cleaned daily of seaweed and debris. The direct flight to and from Charlotte NC was a bonus in that it got us to the hotel early afternoon and we were picked up at noon for the trip home.

big thumbs up
The service and grounds at this resort were fantastic, even better than the much more expensive resort we had stayed at before. The rooms, however, definitely need some updating. The furnishings were very dated, and the plumbing needed some work. The hair dryer provided by the resort was a joke and should not be advertised as available. That being said, the food was good, the ability to communicate in English was passable, and the beach beautiful. I was very impressed with the maintenance of the landscaping, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We were there during the Haitian earthquake, and found out that many of the staff were awaiting word on family in Port au Prince. Despite the tragedy, they were all extremely professional and anyone not aware of the situation would not have known anything from the behavior of the staff. My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones in the earthquake. They were gracious and beautiful people and made our stay a wonderful experience.

This resort is pretty remote. It is set at the end of a very long entrance, and is not conveniently located to any outside dining or shopping. Do not expect to venture from the resort.
