"Buyer's remorse"
Previous trips that I have taken the staff was so accomodating and friendly. At this hotel most of the staff didn't look at you as you passed them walking. They were so rigid and that's the last thing I need on vacation are strict rules (like no coffee pot in the room) yet our young neighbor's to the left kept us up until 4 o'clock in the morning and when we complained all that was said was well they are checking out today. The beaches were beautiful and the pool was nice that was the best of the vacation. The food was prepared well, but it was difficult getting into the specialty restaurants. All in all I was glad I went but because of the bad experience have no desire to return. The website stated that there would be a coffee pot in the room and there was not. No american style coffee available at all.

The resort was a great place to spend the week. Everybody who works there is very friendly and are very eager to make you happy. The beach is beautiful and so is the main pool. Food is actually pretty good and the buffetts have a lot of choices. Would definately suggest to anybody looking to go, whether young or older.

Very clean and a nice place to stay people were friendly and helpful,[...] The rooms were spotless and comfortable, Westjet is a good airline , flight was excellent.[...]We had fun,and a great time but we had to find things on our own with no help. I will recommened Ifa hotel cause it was clean and welcoming, there is a lot of walking like every hotel , yet they will pick you up in there shuttle that will take you to the beach. I really liked the hotel[...]

you must go to the theatre in the evening, they have a wonderful show for the kids, as well as the adults in the evening .the dancers are great and they put on the best show, you will really enjoy it.

really great time
Take in mind that this hotel is European owned, so don't expect a Sandals...but my husband and I had an AMAZING time and we still felt like we were at 4 star resort. The food is local or European. The beach is beautiful. I was very happy, we met a few Americans who weren't but they were older and were used to going to sandals. The ONLY complaint I have is the staff on the beach that tries to get you to purchase water sport activities...they are SUPER aggressive. Sometimes they even both you at the pool!!

My wife and I went to get some r and r, and visit her family. The for most part the staff is great. They will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy and if you take the time to talk to them they are very friendly. The room was OK but you can tell some updating is needed. The beds were a bit small. The bathroom didn't have wash cloths, the soap, shampoo, and conditioner was provided by a dispenser mounted on the shower wall and we had to acquire a bar or two for the sink for washing our hands. The room was cleaned daily but the coffee in the room was not restocked. The grounds were manicured and extremely clean and considering the size of the place, I give them high marks for that. The pools are not for swimming, more for cooling off and chilling out. The beach was great. They have a eating area near the beach that serves lunch, it saves you from having the return to the center of the resort just to grab a bite. The food was just OK. I think it lacked variety. Not that there weren't different types of food available, just that they did not commit to any food theme. My wife is Dominican and I know what foods they eat. I feel they were trying to provide a little something for everyone but by the third time we ate there we knew where everything was and knew it would not change much. For entertainment there is a Disco, need I say more, I was not impressed. Overall, I would say that this place is average. I don't think that we would return for our next visit.

OK, but not great.
When we checked in we were in put in a room with 2 double beds even though we requested a king size bed. We went to the front desk and they changed our room. The room they put us in was so noisy we couldn't get any sleep. The next day we were moved to another room. It was in poor condition but quiet. The pools were beautiful and the place on the beach is great. There are other places to stay in Punta Cana so I would spend a little more and stay at one of them.
