Grand Paradise Bavaro and The Club Beach Resort and Spa - All Inclusive

The check in process was horrible, I have never experienced anything like it. Your dropped off in front of a main lobby then your told to go to another area where you have to be transported and wait in line again. The booking was misleading. The main part of the hotel is on the ocean. (Great location) However, there are three sections, our room was a 15min walk to the beach (Poor location). There are trolleys available for transport but when its busy you have to wait over 10 minutes for one. So organize your day to not go back and forth to the room if you happen to get stuck in a building far from the main hotel. If you have kids travel with a DVD player, half the time the TV did not work for times when you don't leave the room. The entertainment and food were pretty good. Overall for the price it was okay.

The only good thing with this hotel is the beach. However, most of the hotels in Punta Cana have a nice beach... look for another one. The reception staff was very unfriendly. The room was not clean and the safty didn't work.

The hotel was great for the 3 couples in our group. We were a younger group and were looking for a great beach, lots of fun/night life, and cold beer. It definately met every one of those requirements. If you go expected luxury, great food, constant games and interaction, you will be dissapointed. The rooms were pretty nice, but the liquor was cheap, the food was average, and the games were all only available from 10am to 6pm. We were dissapointed about not being able to play ping pong at 10pm, or not being able to check out the boat the day of, and you have to make your dinner reservations the day you check in or else you will be stuck with restaraunt vouchers that you wont be able to use (as was the case for us). We definately loved it, but that's because it had what we were looking for, but I could easily see how some people would be dissapointed.

The hotel grounds were kept very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only issues were that we could not obtain a king size bed and were told to come back every day to check (which we gave up on). The air conditioner and TV did not work in our room and we were eventually moved to a room with working amenities so it was not too bad.

Hotel was OK. Went with my boyfriend and for a couple you would probably have a better time at a nicer hotel that offers more. arrived at the hotel at 11am and could not check in until 3. The pools were big and nice, and the beach was amazing. Check-in was a nightmare, They took forever at 3pm to check us in when we were already there at 11 and they had our information. The one girl had no clue what she was doing and everyone seemed to be having problems. We stayed in the Club section and upgraded to a junior suite for only about $180 for the entire 5 nights, which was probably a good idea because I heard that the rooms closest to the beach were not nice and small. The room was big with a jacuzzi however the outlets didnt work and we did not have a hairdryer (we told our orbitz representative at the hotel but we still never got the hairdryer or the outlets fixed.) Make sure you book the dinner reservations as soon as you can. We arrived on Friday and there was nothing available until Monday night. You also only get 2( even though Orbitz website says you get 3) which is ridiculous because everyone else we talked in other hotels could eat at a different restaurant each night. If you were not eating at a restaurant then you had the buffet which was pretty good food. not bad at all, just the staff kinda sucked. It took forever to get a drink with your meals at the buffet, the waiter would look at you and walk right past without asking if you wanted a drink. It was also difficult to find someone to grab a bite to eat between meals because they had set times the buffets were open and we could not really find any good food elsewhere. I would definitely recommend eating at the Asian restaurant. It was $10 per person but it was worth it. you can either have sushi or Japanese style where they cook in front of you. We did this and the food was very delicious and also a fun time. the steakhouse restaurant was good and we also ate at the Italian which was OK. There was not alot of nightly entertainment for a younger crowd and i would suggest booking somewhere else especially if you are a couple. I would like something more romantic and a bit more to do on the resort. The staff was incredibly nice though,(except for the reception people in the Club section) a tip goes a long way especially at the bars. One night we took a cab to the Hard rock cafe which was well worth it. it was about $22 dollars each way but you can get a tasty burger and some good drinks if you want a change from the hotel food. Also there is a shopping mall where the hard rock is so you can shop around. excursions: we went on were the Adventure Buggies, you get very muddy but it was alot of fun, They took you to a cave which was amazing. also the Funny monster was awesome, it was a safari ride where they took you to a ranch where you rode horses and had a very good lunch. also the Sanona island trip was fun. they take you to an island on a boat where you relax and then head back on speed boats. Overall the trip was fun but I would not stay at the hotel again. I think they need to work on alot of things and I know there are better hotels in punta cana

It was a great time we met alot of great people the staff was as helpful as can be. The staff accomidated to our needs i.e.. We where late at our for dinner reservation by like a half hour but still got us a table even though the restaurant was packed.

The hotel and restaurants weren't handicapped acessible.There seemed to be a shortage of ice. The alcoholic beverages weren't mixed well. The staff in most areas were friendly.

Hotel was the worst , staff at reciption desk was mean and nasty ignore us , rooms dirty has roches ants, all over , food was the worse , to be hounest i will never book with orbitz because the agent who booked my reservation braged about this hotel how good it was all lies , i paid big money for this hptel not worth it.
