Excellent for family & friends trips

Would recommend Sun, Jan 3, 2016
We enjoy our stay at the hotel. all was excellent, food, service, clean rooms and water pools. Quick and professional staff service. We only wait 5 minutes for our honeymoon gift. They were very professional in order to solve any situation if appears. This is our third visit to Punta Cana, and the value for the money was as expected. Thanks to all of the staff to do possible an excellent stay to foreign visitors.

Wonderful trip!

Would recommend Sun, Dec 20, 2015
This was a beautiful hotel but very big and overwhelming. Once you view the map and learn your way around it gets a lot better. We enjoyed the on site shows, but wished there was more activities during the day at the hotel for adults. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. English is not their first language but I loved it! They took time to not only assist us but to teach us Spanish. Can't wait to go back!

Great getaway despite so so staff

Would recommend Wed, Nov 18, 2015
This place is great value for the price we paid. Food at main buffet was good, ala carte restaurants were hit and miss. It's a little bit of a walk (~5 mins) from the resort to the beach and main pool area but there is a nice pool close by also. Nightly entertainment was better than other all inclusives i've been to. The negatives: Overall, staff was friendly but not helpful and they told us no more times than I could count. The resort is divided into 5 so your wristband dictates what you can and can't do/go. The staff gave us very poor directions leaving us wandering the resort on occasion to look for what we needed. The room was nice but we did see a few cockroaches and the toilet broke one morning but the staff responded quickly and fixed it. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to others as it is probably on par with other resorts in the same price range.

We stayed in the Grand Bahia Punta Cana. It was beautiful! Although the Punta Cana is not on the beach, it is only a 2-3 min ride on the excellent transportation (every 5 min) provided by the resort. Our room was very clean upon arrival and kept spotless our whole stay. We very much enjoyed the buffet and snack bar food. Yanna was our favorite server in the buffet!! She is exceptional at her job. She greeted us with a smile every time we saw her and made us feel right at home!! Saundry is a bartender at the pool near villa 16. Excellent bartender!! We highly enjoyed the lobby bar and the entertainment nightly. Thanks to Bianna who gave us a lovely tour of the resort and helped us become members of the Privilege Club. We can't wait to return as VIP members.

Staff amazing

Would recommend Thu, Oct 29, 2015
My daughters wedding was beautiful and Marisol was wonderful. The lower scores have nothing to do with the services received. My father became deathly ill and was hospitalized in the (ICU) so over half of my stay was at the hospital. However the staff most especially Alexander with Coming2 were so amazing and caring during a very difficult time I cannot thank them enough! I would love to come back for a real vacation God bless you!

Such a beautiful hotel. I cannot believe any reviews you read have anything bad to say about this place. The staff is so nice, courteous, friendly, helpfully...the list goes on! Gorgeous hotel, grounds are so well kept and the rooms are nice, clean, and very roomy! My wife and I plan to re-visit this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here! Just love this place and thank you so much again to the wonderful staff!

Mixed feelings

Would not recommend Sun, Oct 25, 2015
The hotel is beautiful and located right on the ocean. The staff that work in the buffet located in the lobby are fantastic. The resort is definitely well maintained and easy to get around. However, we went as a group of 13 people and all of us were extremely dissatisfied with the staff at the Japanese restaurant on site. You get three ala carte dinners during your stay, and the staff at the Japanese place were incredibly rude and neglectful. It took over two hours to get our food and nobody understood English. Many other staff members around the resort weren't the friendliest and expected a tip for everything. Everywhere you turn someone is trying to take your money or following you around trying to take advantage of the tourists. Just a heads up, items are more expensive in the Dominican than they are in the United States. We paid $100 a person to go on a catamaran excursion, and were promised a luxurious boat, steak for lunch, and told it was a 45 minute bus ride. The bus ride was two hours long each way, we ended up switching busses in the middle of a highway, the catamaran was an old boat that had way too many people on it, and there sure wasn't any steak at lunch. We were incredibly upset that a staff member at our resort lied to us about an excursion that cost $100 per person, and many of the staff members who led the excursion were too busy on their cell phones to be helpful. Everyone in our group had been very ill for at least two or three days during our stay, we're guessing it's food or water related as other groups we spoke to also experienced the same symptoms. Food is alright, nothing special. Bring your Imodium. Casino staff laugh about how stupid Americans are, yes we also know how to speak Spanish. We won't return to this resort again, as it's turned into how many people they can book rather than being concerned with the quality of their stay.
