This is a resort which no one couple should miss. The staff was excellent from top to bottom. Restaurants were all excellent. Cleanliness all around, from pools to beach etc,etc. The Excellence resort is exactly what it says, EXCELLENCE!!!! P.S. shows were also great!

All inclusive junkies
Excellent!
We had stayed at the Excellence in Playa Mujeres and enjoyed our experience there so we gave the Excellence in Punta Cana a try. We were also highly impressed with our stay at the Excellence in Punta Cana. Not as updated as the resort in Playa Mujeres but still nice and had more amenities available on the grounds than in Playa Mujeres.

The Excellence is "Super Excellente!"
We can not say enough about this resort. From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. You couldn't ask for nicer people, better food or service! Don't miss out on the coco-loco or saying hi to the crew at Kafe Cafe!

Beach Boccee
Food is a BIG Disappointment
I have been to punta cana once before for my honeymoon and we stayed at paradisus and I can't tell you how wonderful it was. The grounds were amazing the food was amazing and the service was great. This time we went back for a friend's wedding and so we had no choice but to stay at excellence. The place was nice, but not spectacular like paradisus. I will say having a large group the small grounds made it convenient to find people. The rooms are nice and clean, the beach is beautiful, but the resort has no pizazz. My biggest problem was the food. I understand that it is an all inclusive, but the food at other resorts can be delicious. I can not say the same. I was asked by another person on the trip if there was anything we ate that we could say was really good, and the answer was no. Kind of sad. Food isn't everything, but saying that the wendy's I had at the airport when I left was the best thing I ate all week is pretty sad.

Like a cruise on land!
Excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some waiters & waitresses know very limited English so brush up on your Spanish! Plenty to do and see or....do nothing but lay around the beach or at one of the pools.

Kid-less tranquility!!

Honeymoon getaway
The Excellence Punta Cana was a great resort. The reason I rated it 4 stars for location is this resort is far (45 minutes) from the actual city of Punta Cana. So it does take longer to get to the excursions. As far as being away from everyone else the location is great. We never saw any kids which was nice on this vacation. The reason I gave 4 stars for room cleanliness was because they didn't always make our room up in the evening or give us the chocolate, flowers or towel figures. This was not a big deal and was not the normal for the resort. We met several couples while we were there and they said they received these things. In fact we wouldn't have known we should get them if it wasn't for them. Other than that the room was clean. We did have a leak from the roof and they tried to fix it but instead offered us another comparable room. We did not move because it seemed like to much of a hassle to pack move and unpack again on a vacation. I gave room comfort 4 stars because the bed wasn't the most comfortable neither were the pillows. However these are all small things. In general it was great and we really enjoyed it. Activities and food were good. Room service food was not the best (cheese pizza was pretty good) Definitely recommend this resort!

Excellent Romantic Getaway
The resort and staff were excellent. Plenty of room at the beach and pool and the waiters were always bringing whatever you needed. The only downside was that it is an hour from the airport and the food was not the greatest.
