Fun Getaway

I would recommend that others check out the Dreams Resort here, but a couple of suggestions: Don't go for longer than 7 days. The food was a bit repetitive because it seemed we had the same options every single day. Don't go there in March or April. Their rainy season, in the past few years, has started showing up earlier and earlier and we had clouds or rain for 5 of our 7 days in the first week of March. Bring bug spray. The mosquitos in the evening will get you. Do check out the fitness center and spa. Both are excellent! Do attend the Dreams Entertainment Shows in the evenings. They have some really fun performances. Book a bigger room rather than the standard, they are pretty small (approx 400 or so sq ft) and not suitable for more than 2 people. Also, there is no hot tub at this resort. However, the beach... is fantastic! Clean, warm, turquoise in color. Just beautiful.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Stay away from Deep Sea fishing excursion. Water was so rough, there was a lot of motion sickness and not a lot of catching fish.

Wish I was there now !

Very nice- Swim out room was well worth the extra money. [...] did a very professional job with all the flight and hotel details and saved me a few dollars too!

Amazing resort, even better service!

The resort grounds were amazing. Beautiful landscaping, great pool and wonderful wildlife. The beach was clean, maintained and chairs were always available. The rooms could use new furniture and comforters. The food was delicious and the staff was out of this world. Can't wait to go back and take friends and family!

Unbiased Review from 27 yr. old Honeymoo

Great Service - first class - everyone smiles and loves to serve - couldn't ask for more! Food was ok - not world-class but not bad...lots of choices. This hotel is on the Atlantic side of the island - there is also the Caribbean side - I think the Caribbean side has bluer water - but not positive - the water at Dreams was really clear and blue one day, and then green and cloudy the next - very weird! Great entertainment, they accomodate to everyone - good fun shows - great value! I would definitely recommend to families and couples alike! Loved the Spa!

unbeatable location for the price

Our experience at the hotel was excellent except your tour rep thru coco tours. He was down out right dishonest!!! Not only that they never picked us up from the hotel to take us to the airport that we paid extra for thru vouchers from you. That was the only problem we experienced. We are arranging a credit thru American Express for the airport vouchers and the trip excursion.

Not bad

My traveling companions all agreed that the resort has some very nice amenities like a massive pool, a first rate spa, and a beautifully landscaped property. The guestrooms were disappointing and best described as "tired". The air conditioning did not work well which left the room feeling warm and damp. The food was spotty. The Mexican restaurant was by far our best experience--the food was excellent, the service was excellent. Stay away from the Chinese restaurant! The food tasted prepackaged.
