Beautiful Resort.

I just returned home from my vacation at the Dreams Resort in Punta Cana and unfortunately not very pleased with the trip. Let me first start off by saying the grounds were beautiful and well kept and nearly the entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially the entertainment team. The members of the staff that should have been the most helpful were not. That would include the concierge staff and management. I truly believe the room that was given to my Fiance and I should not have been used for guests. We arrived at the resort shortly after 5:00 pm sunday 7/20 and not given a room until after 6:00 pm. Check in time is 3:00 pm and after a long day of traveling we needed to rest. Once we checked into our room (4329) we found the mini bar was not restocked. There four drinks that were opened and half empty! The two beds were sitting on TRASH CANS, two light fixtures were broken with the bulbs hanging from the socket and the room was infested with ants. Later that night we found out the telephones were not connected for service so instead of paying .99 cents per minute we had to pay $20.00 per five minutes. After numerous calls that evening and being on hold for a manager I am told there is no manager to speak to at this time and call tomorrow after 9:30 am. The following morning I proceeded to the front desk to speak with the manager and explain my situation. He assured me the room would be taken care of and he personally would inspect the room. Nothing at all was done with the room. It is unfortunate that this is how I was treated because I can assure you this will be the last time I stay. I had proposed to my girlfriend that Monday morning and were thinking about getting married here next summer but after this stay we will be looking for another resort.

Dreams Punta Cana Resort is located in a very pretty environment. Our room had ants crawling around on the sick and the temperature was not that cool. We had a nice balcony. The food was ok. The buffet had different said it had different themes but I didn't see the food change that much. There were not enough choices. The Mexican restaurant was good for dinner and the Sea Side Grill was good for lunch. Reservations were not excepted for dinner at the Sea Side Grill so I could not get in for dinner without waiting 2 hours. The resort kept running out of clean glasses and when they cleaned them they just rinsed them off. I got serious strep at the end of this vacation that I have never gotten before and I think it was from the unsanity conditions. My 2 friends got sick also. The pool is like a bathtub. Very hot water that does not cool you off. Beach is not swimable and it is dark there at night so unable to walk on beach. Staff is great and helpful and polite. Shows are not that good. Should have movies on the beach. Excursions are too far away.

Such a wonderful way to celebrate my B- Day!

The property layout and continous upkeep was supurb. Each and every staff member was polite, friendly and greeted us with each meeting. There was constant entertainment and recreation taking place from morning to well into the night! The servers and bartenders were very accommodating and remembered our favorite bevs. I really enjoyed the seafood restaurnt and the breakfast buffet. Wear bug repellent day and night! I have mystery bites and markings from bites that I did not scratch. I might not have survived a taxi ride for 1 hour plus, each way. There is not an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. So, needless to say, we got our workout on!! It rained every night and the grounds is covered in tile, so where rubber soled shoes outside of your room when it is damp.

Wonderfull vacation

t how beatifull and clean this resort is. All the hotel staff were very freindly and helpfull. It will be very hard next year to find a resort just as nice and as tropical as this one is, if we don't, my husband wants to come back next year. The only thing we didn't like was the bumpy ride to and from the resort. We could tell they are in the prosses of building new roads. This was true paradise and we wish our stay was longer.

My review of Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa - All Inclusive

This is our 2nd time staying at Dreams Punta Cana. Overall, I really don't think you can beat the value for the money, but this is not the sole reason for my extreme satisfaction with the whole experience. The buffet is great for breakfast, and the specialty restaurants were even better than last year. We went to Himitsu 3 times and Bordeaux twice, and were very impressed every time. The resort's facilities are top-notch. I have to admit that our check-in was not as nice as last time. No drink or cool towel, and the check-in guy spent 5 minutes trying to get us to upgrade to the honeymoon suite. The beach is amazing, and not crowded at all. It always blows my mind that half the people who come to this island paradise just waste it lounging at the pool (which is very nice, but not my thing). Overall, my wife and I really love this resort. Staying here twice is probably enough for us, and I would doubt if we come back, but that's not reflective of any shortcomings on the resort's behalf, just that we want to experience new places. I highly recommend Dreams Punta Cana.

There is a small casino in the resort where we did quite well playing blackjack. There is also a nightclub, but we never went in there so I can't comment on it.

Dreams, Punta Cana

Stayed at Dreams Resort for 6 days. Had a great time. Only set back is the drive to the hotel. It took us about 2 hours b/c we had to stop at other resorts to drop other passengers off. It wasn't that bad, but would have desired a direct ride. Upon arrival to hotel, staff greeted myself and girlfriend with cool towels and champagne. Because it was before check-in time, they offered us to enjoy a lunch at the Buffet. Upon officially checking-in, we had to change our room twice. First b/c they gave us a room that was already occupied, thank god no one was in the room when we opened the door, and the second time (it had two double beds). Even with this setback, front desk clerk was very accomodating and apologetic. The rest of our vacation was amazing. We had a great time! The food, entertainment, staff and grounds were all fantastic. The resort had everything I look for while on vacation. The best part was, everything was walking distance. I have stayed at other resorts in Punta Cana in which I had to wait for a trolly to come around or walk miles to get back to me room. I honestly recommend Dreams, Punta Cana! Also, if you have the time, book a romantic dinner. Absolutely phenominal! They trully make you feel like you are royalty.

Great place to go

I went to Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa for my honeymoon. We never traveled outside of the United States, so we were little bit worried about everything. However, staying in this hotel was great experience. Hotel was pretty and clean. And the service was good to. Welcome Champagne tasted good too. And they took our baggages and brought to our room. Room was clean and big enough for two people. (we reserved honeymoon suit) And because this hotel provide All-inclusive, we didn't have any shortage of water, alcohols, and other drinks. There were seven restaurants in the resort. We've been to only 5 of them, but food was good too. Only thing I didn't like was that meats were tough to eat. But others were really good. The beach was pretty and pool was clean. Two couples of my friends already booked this hotel for their vacations. I really enjoyed staying this hotel, and I will try to stay Dreams hotel in other places also.

My review of Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa - All Inclusive

We have stayed several times at the dreams in Puerta Vallarta and this place was just as beautiful. The hotel itself was much larger and had more restaurants and more things to do, probably because you are so far from everything. It didnt matter though because we still spent 7 great days there. Would definately reccommend to others!!!
