Be Live Grand Punta Cana - All Inclusive

I was pleasantly surprised. From reading all the negative reviews, I had really low expectations. Be sure to ask for a room in one of the new buildings - 11, 15. They are a bit further from the main pool, but are worth it. The food at the resort was 7/10. We really liked the Brazilian restaurant. Japanese wasn't bad either. Buffet was decent as well. There are a lot of pools besides the main pool, which is good if you want some peace and quiet. There were a lot of huts on the beach. The only complaint about the beach was too much seaweed, but if you walk about 10 minutes along the beach, its a lot better. Not a ton of water activities - the usual parasailing, bananaboat. The shows at the hotel could have been better. The alcohol selection at the bar is not bad at all - they have stoli vodka and red label, dewars, among the brand names. All in all, this hotel is worth it for the right price. Keep in mind the airport is outdoors with a tin roof and you have to walk to/from the plane on the tarmac and there is no air-conditioning in the punta cana int'l airport.

All of the staff was very helpful. From the time we reached the hotel to the time we left. As far as the stay kind of a pain to have to make your food reservations three days out. Also if you are wanting to plan things to do well there either do via online or right away when you get to the hotel. If not they will stop you. I burned a whole day there listening to people offering things:(

My only complaint about this Hotel is upon arrival we were told the resort was full and they were upgrading us to the presidential resorts, 2 mins away. They put us in a taxi and we didn’t know where we going and the taxi driver didn’t speak English. After a 25 min ride to a condo, that had 1 bar and 1 restaurant that was located off the condo area. The condo was very nice but it was not what we paid for or were expecting, the bar and restaurant were not so nice. They wanted us to stay at this condo until 2pm the next day we decided to take a taxi back to our hotel that cost us $25.00. Once we arrived back at our Hotel they upgraded us to a sweet and black wristbands. We were in Room 7307 After that we had a great time! The food was very good at the specialty restaurants, we ate at the Mexican, Brazilin, Gourmet and the Japanese for lunch we ate at the beach bar and the bbq stand. None of us got sick after 7 nights. We had a bumpy start but would go again!!!

I took my adult daughter and my 76 year old mother. For my mother it was her first time out of the country and her first time seeing the ocean. We had a wonderful time. We did have two issues with no running water one morning but it was resolved within 30mins. The second, our telephone in the room did not work. We were there for the entire five days and it was never resolved. The front desk was made aware the first day. Over all, it was just GREAT spending time with my family, good food, rest and relaxation.

Everything was great!! The buffet was not American food but outside that, would do it in a heart beat again!

My husband and I went to Punta Cana and stayed at the Be Live grand for 6 days for our 10th year annyversary. We had a relaxing and fun time. The entertainmanet staff was a lot of fun and the shows were very good.

Very nice resort. I would go back again. Large beach area with lots of chairs. Many pools if you wanted to relax in them. Ocean was very nice. Crystal clear water. I was in about 5 foot water and still see the sandy bottom with no troubles. The only issue we had was the room. We wanted one with a single King bed but we got one with two doubles. We made it work though. They made the beds everyday. Wish they would have swept the floors daily though. They got a little dirty by the end of the trip. They restocked the mini bar fridge everyday with water, beer and pop at no extra charge. They only stock the fridge with 2-1.5 liter bottles of water, 2 cans of beer and 3 bottles of pop. I also felt very safe there. The Zip-line adventure was a lot of fun. I would do that again. On certain nights they would let some vendors into the resort and let them sell there items. Make sure you negotiate the price down as much as you can. They start pretty high I thought. We got $300 worth of items for $80. : ) Just have to play hard ball with the vendors.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, resort was beautiful. The quality and selection of the food could have been better but that would be my only complaint.

The accommodations in our unit were lovely, the grounds were beautifully manicured and the pools were clean. The beach could use a few more shade huts and the entertainment one night was repeated from a previous night. Other than that the resort was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was plenty but as little bland. All in all it was a wonderful vacation and I would recommend Be Live.

Overall, we had an amazing time at Be Live. We were hesitant because of the other reviews; however, we didn't experience any of the "bad" stuff noted in those reviews. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The rooms were nice (we stayed in buildings 12 & 15). The beach and pools were well maintained and cleaned. There is such a variety of food. It was okay, tasted different, not what we were used used to. However, it was not bad & we didn't get ill or anything like that.
