Meet you in the Carribean
Don't go if you don't like walking a tremendous amount!
We could not get a wheel chair, asked everyday. The food at best was mediocre at the buffet. The same everyday, and tasteless, except for a few items. The service was hit and miss at the buffet, sometimes we had to change tables to get coffee. The specialty restaurants were fantastic, but you could only go into them once, if you had a coupon. The wait staff at these places were by far some of the best I ever saw. Women could were cut off mini shorts, with there cheeks hanging out to these restaurants, but men needed long pants. Most of the staff did not understand English. Very difficult to get what you needed. Other resorts we have been to in the D.R. have staff well versed in multiple languages, easy to converse with. But, this is the cleanest Resort I have ever been to. And they had bathrooms everywhere. That were immaculate. And many around the pool bar, every bar had one next to it. The beach is the nicest I have ever seen, the grounds manicured to a tee, no bugs or animals running around, no vendors bothering you on the beach. So, if you can walk good, love the beach and go on vaca to play non-motorized sports and don't care about the taste of food, THIS IS YOUR PERFECT VACATION!

40th birthday celebration
We did have a fabulous one at this hotel however there was a huge language barrier. The hotel room was fine nothing to brag about but we didnt care as we didn't spend much time in it. We had some issues with the ac and they maids did t refill our fridge or water everyday. One friend was asleep in his room and they went in while he was sleeping and cleaned it! That is unexceptable! They ignored your door sign of u put do not disturb. We lucked out and found bar/restaurant that was a hidden treasure hoyo 19 that bar made our trip a memorable one. The food in all the other restaurants was nothing to write home about.

Brin ur own mug example a bubba mug for less trips to the bar. Also the restaurants require u to wear pants and closed shoes found this very annoying due to the hot weather and not all restaurants have ac. Skip the seafood steakhouse and italian. Not worth it.oved the Japanese and hoyo 19 and la brista. Buffet on the adult resort was fabulous as well expecily for breakfast coffee is very strong on the entire resort if u don't like strong I suggest brining ur own to brew in ur room.

Much needed vacation
this was one of the best resorts I have ever been too. Everything was clean and organized. The specialty resturants were delicious. The staff were always professional and courteous. This is truly a paradise resort.

Relaxing
Very Nice Vacation
The only negative was a couple of the restaurants. The Italian restaurant substituted our order without asking us. Service at the steak and seafood was slow. Otherwise, would go back.

The Murphys
Beautiful place, bad staffing
The location and the hotel were beatuiful, however the staff was less than expected. We felt like a minority coming from the US, where English is not even a 2nd language. The food was average but nothing to brag about. The room was comfortable and the jacauzzi tub was nice, We felt like used car salemen were constantly trying to sell us overpriced excersions. It seemed like the staff were constantly trying to scam us. Lots and lots of children - if you want to have some peace and quiet, this is not your best bet. The beach was beautiful - the white sand was gorgeous. The water crystal clear blue and the pools were nice and clean.

The hotel was very big and our room was in the golf section, which was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The beach was beautiful. Clear blue water and nice white sand. The food was great. 24 hour restaurants provided ample choices. THe staff did not speak good English and we did not receive the complimentary honeymoon package we were promised. But overall very fancy facilities, beautiful beach and good food.

Affordable Luxury
The resort itself is magnificent- very beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly and professional. Beach and pool were kept very clean. Buffets and restaurants were exquisite with plenty of options. Easily accommodates couples or families- with plenty of separation between the two if you prefer. The bed was big and the pillows nice but it was quite uncomfortable (could of had to do with my sunburn!). Robe and slippers in room, jacuzzi on the balcony, stocked (included) mini-bar w/snacks. Only thing I would change is inclusive transport to and from the airport (cost $45 from the airport and $30 back to it). Best part for me was food and finding a sea turtle in the swimming area of the beach!

In Hotel
Bring extra sunblock- they charge over $25 in the hotel per bottle. Also, bring ban-aids, pain relievers, etc. because in order to get them, they have to send someone from the nearest pharmacy to deliver them to the resort... we paid $23 for a small thing of orejel.

Depending where your room is at. You may not see the golf resturant . Hole 18.. eat there the food is made to order. Food is fresh with a great menu..
