Definitely Family Oriented

Was not aware that it was essentially all family oriented. Pool was very boring with one 6x9 speaker as the pool music. I would never revisit that hotel again unfortunately.

EXCELLENT HOTEL March 2013

My husband and I travel alot and decided to come to Domincan Republic. This hotel is AMAZING! The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Extremely friendly. The amenities in this resort are great. The pool is nice and the way the hotel is decorated is beautiful. They have peacocks roaming around and waterways in the front of the hotel with flamingos there. The food is good with a wide variety to chose from at the buffet. You can book your excursions right in the hotel. They also have BBQ's on the beach every saturday. The saturday before we left a staff member told me that they just caught fresh lobsters and were cooking them for lunch. So Yummy! If you are thinking of staying at this hotel than definitely stay here!! You will not be dissapointed!

Perfect Getaway

This resort has everything you need. The food and drinks were continuous. All types of food including Mexican, Dominican, Italian and lots of seafood that includes lobster. The staff is very friendly and attentive to all your needs. The spa has a separate whirlpool for both males and females. Yes the resort has a beach, three pools. One pool for games. We plan to visit this resort again.

Good Experience

It was one of the better vacation experiences that I have had. The accomadiations were very good. I had a problem with some of the food. I was not satified with the special resturants. The bar bervages; wine, mixed drinks were very poor.

Boring Food/Check was a trip/Internet

Okay the food was the same and definitely not a true representation of Dominican Cusine at its best. The Rodizo meat was dry over coked and lacked seasoning. Even Dominican Night the food was nothing to brag about. No variety day to day I was there for 9 days and had the tongue served three times. They need to be a little more creative maybe Italian night, etc.. Oh by no means arrive before 3 to check in. Internet overpriced WIFI access 60 for 7 days and don't expect a credit if it goes down.

Honeymoon

Overall experience at hotel was average. I 'd previously heard that this resort was a five star facility. It was really a 3.5 star at best. The staff was über awesome. The food was average at best, geared mainly towards the locals who vacation there. A buffet-themed cuisine night was probably appeal to international guests and travellers (American one night, Italian one one night, etc.), as the buffet is the same for all three meals daily. The room was average, with the bathroom being very small and cramped and in need of a deep cleaning. Not plush or romantic. Be prepared to take the stairs tp your room. The resort closes the beach and pool around 7 each night so swim early. Beach has major seawood. Shows were average. Do the dune buggy ride and rum tour. Beach in Sosua is beautiful and clean. Go snorkeling or on the glass bottom boat in . Overall was an ok stay but not a great place for honeymoon.

Raving about DR

This place was a perfect getaway. Rooms were good. Building 5 is closest to the beach. the daily activities were great as well as the onsite Club. Next door is another club and casino. American dollars go a long way there. Remember to bring enough of it. The exchange rates were not that great! the beach guys can get you excursions for $40-$50 pp. Roughly $500 per couple for Dune buggies, Snorkling, Banana Boating, Parasailing, and the 27 waterfalls.

Very Good Hotel

We really enjoyed being at this hotel. This is one of the best one in Puerto Plata. The staff was friendly and attentive, check in and the check out process were quick and easy. The majority of the staff were very professional and the shows and entertainment was very good. The decor and landscape is beautiful. The only thing that they could improve is the beach. It was full of seaweed maybe a little maintenance would make it better and the other complaint is that the hotel doesn't offer free Wi-FI. With technology the way it is and the majority of the hotels and restaurants offering free WI-FI I think that the hotel should consider offering it to their customers.
