Blue Bay Villas Doradas Adults Only Resort -All Inclusive

THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST ALL INCLUSIVE HOTELS I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. THE ALCOHOL WAS BAD AS WELL AS THE FOOD. THE POOLS WERE SMALL MY ROOM HAD ONLY ONE ELECTRICAL OUTLET THAT WORK THERE WERE ANTS IN MY ROOM AND PLUS THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE BATHROOM AND THIS WAS AFTER CHANGING MY ROOM FROM ONE THAT WAS WORST THEN THIS ONE. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY HERE.

I was in DR in May 2009 and stayed at the Oasis Gran Marien. I should have stayed there again. Blue Bay Villas beverages/Food were not at all close to what you got at the Oasis Gran Marien. They didn't even play Dominican Music at this resort. Gran Oasis Marien is definetely better. The only good thing about Blue Bay Villas was the location. When we checked in we were told the keys were sensitive, they didn't lie about that, i was constantly going to guest services to get a replacement key because anything magnetic deactivated the card. Then i went to my room and the phone didn't work. Noone ever fixed it. Terrible! I will never stay here again.

I stayed in the Blue bay Hotel with my boyfriend as a birthday celebration. When we first got there the reservation was incorrect. After waiting for about an hour while I paid again for my room, since it was a Sunday there was no one from reservations, we were showed to our room. Once we arrived in our room, it smelled like cigarrets, there was dirty ash trays, dirty plates, the petals on the bed squashed(as if someone slept on top of them) and the whole room was just dirty. After almost 3 hours we finally got a room. Then the next day we got harrased with some of the employees trying to sell us time share. The food was ok. I actually was able to spend some time outside playa dorada and eat some GREAT FOOD!!

We got what we paid for...2300 for 7 days all inclusive including air and transfer to and from the AP. The beach was average, cloudy water. the food was bad at the alacarte restaurants and surprisingly good at the buffet. The staff was average, no internet in the rooms yet you could get it poolside and in the lobby. small casino nearby...the sun was great. but the place was packed....?? take your chances....the water may clear, the food may improve and maybe the staff will get better....Maybe...

Bachelor Party. Terrible Customer Service due to their incredibly unreasonable hotel fee structure. The facility was not very well maintained; the pool was dirty throughout the day. The food was Americanized. There was very little resemblance of Dominican culture in hotel food. The rooms are small and smelly. Charging unheard of fees like daily Safe rental for $3 a day.

unfortunately was a very bag experience; first the room was totally in a very bag condition, the walls full of moist and dirty.I changed tree different rooms and the last one was not cold water in the sink.I have to use water from the shower to bush my tee.I asked the Reception for a better room and the answer was not....Those room are for VIP only. I offer pay more money for better room and was denying.The service was very poor. This was the worse vacation that I been have in my live! I do not recommended this particle hotel to nobody.

The hotel was nothing like we expected. The resort shows pictures of rooms with jacuzzis which are not offered to regular travelers (only to share holders). The experience was dissapointing as we expected better service for our "Superior Deluxe" package . It was our first time in Blue bay and our second time in Puerto Plata. But definitely not a better experience than our first. The staff was not as amicable as expected. The restaurants are completely booked for reservations for the the present day till the next, so my advise would be to make reservations the moment you arrive for all 3 restaurants on the property. If you have already booked your trip use my advise and try and enjoy yourselves, but if you are just browsing stay away form this resort. Better yet, stay away from Puerto Plata and go on to "La Romana", "Punta Cana" or "Babaros" it's a bit more in price but well worth it, better beaches and better service. If you want to be disappointed stay here. The staff was horrible. The food and drinks were horrible. No orange juice, liquor was bottom shelf water down tasted like gasoline. If you want bedding with stains and cigarette burns this is for you. The room was dirty, run down, and lacking. I will never go back here ever. I have extensive travel experience this is my 5th time to the DR and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. We had to fight for upgrade, hotel staff was not interested in what we wanted. Do not stay here book somewhere else or stay home.

I checked in a day late and I was put in a third floor room. Noone helped me take my bags up or anything. I had to make two trips for my bags. In my room there were little red ants everywhere(on dresser, bathroom sink). I went to the front desk and told them and they said they would send someone there in a few minutes, noone never came. I ended up only staying there 1 day out of 9 days i was suppose to be there. I rented a smaller hotel with less amenaties and their service and cleanliness much better and they were more accomidating; especially after I told them the story about my dreadful night at blue bay villas. They even gave me one day free.

the room not clean, the service very poor the food not good at all they keep the food over night and warm it for the next day, they never clean the bathroom, the dont have a none smoking rooms at all, and its not adul at all they changed that but they never changed the title, the server take them long time to bring you something you ask for, the bed is very very old.
