Rainy getaway

The food was mediocre. The power went out in the resort. We were stuck in our room due to rain.

The hotel was just beautiful but the absolute best was the beach! Just blue-green water, perfect for swimming. The food was also fantastic. no complaints on the selection and variety. Overall, we had a relaxing time.

Great for the price

I enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was o.k. but it would have been nice if traditional Dominican cuisine was served.

Amazing resort

My boyfriend and I booked this trip based on the reviews, neither of us had ever been and we'd never been to DR so we really didn't know what to expect. The food: The food is very good and always available. The buffet, pizzeria and snack bar are available for walk ins. There are also three restaurants that are included thy require reservations. We ate at La Rica, the Mediterranean restaurant. Our four course meal was included with our booking. The drinks: I was nervous that the drinks would be very watered down, but they definitely were not. You can literally drink from whatever time you wake up until you go to sleep and the drinks are tasty and strong. The accommodations: The room was pretty small but very clean. The amenities: You do not have to leave the resort for anything. Everything you could want is right on the resort. They even arrange for vendors to come on certain days so you can buy authentic Dominican art and jewelry. There's the beach, pools, archery, tennis, trapeze lessons, kayaking, canoeing, snorkeling excursions, diving excursions, atv excursions and all kinds of shops. There is a show every night followed by a beach party followed by a nightclub. There are also photographers who will setup a professional photo shoot for you on the beach. The staff: This resort has the friendliest and most accommodating staff I've ever experienced. They are all amazing. They work so hard to make sure everyone is having the best time. I honestly don't know when try sleep. During the day they are teaching games or giving dance lessons. At night they out on the show, lead the beach party and take everyone to te club and danced with us there too. They really seem to love what they do and it makes such a difference. We had the best time and my only regret is that we were only there for 6 days. We're already planning our trip back so we can stay longer.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

I recommend the Saona island excursion. It's a party boat to another island, open bar, dancing, authentic dominican food and swimming.

Great value for the money

The resort was really nice, yes the buffet gets old fast and the food has no seasoning. The Mediterranean, itlian and restaurant 25 we enjoyed. You do have to pay 10.00 per person but worth it. The garden bungalow was nice but the beds are very hard. The beaches are amazing. Always found a quiet spot under a hut on the beach. Plenty of beach chairs never a Shortage. We went to relax but u can party all day with the entertainers. I dont think they ever sleep! We did the excursion to Island Saona with a speed Boat and cataraman, awesome! I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Beautiful Beach

We had a great time the beach was awesome and the water was amazing. Our oceanfront bungalow was worth the upgrade it was awesome! We wish there was room service and that we didn't have to pay $10/person to eat at most of the dinner restaurants. The snack bar could have changed the menu at least every other day because the buffet is closed from 3-7 and we were soo hungry by 7 that we always had to eat a snack around 4. Also wish the entire resort had free wifi it sucked having to go to the lobby or have to pay
