Great Family vacation, perfect beach

All staff is very friendly and very helpful. The beach is very nice, clean sand... No vawes... You can walk in the water and feel only sand. no problem with towels. If you wake up at 7 am or at 8 am - you will be the only one swimming in the ocean. The beach is not crowded. Kids have a lot of fun. A lot of activites! A lot of shadow on the beach...

Beautiful surroundings but bad food

The lobby and pool areas are lovely. The biggest problem is that the staff constantly bugs you to play volleyball, play mini golf, buy spa services, etc. We were in the middle of a conversation and they kept coming up and bugging us - 5 or 6 times each day. Food and service at restaurant were sub-par.

Great Hotel resort

We really liked the hotel, Pros: nice beach, pools/swim up bar, outdoor hot-tub! Diving classes, Great staff!!!!. Wifi in the lobby, Nice rooms. Buffet restaurant was good. Late night pizza and burgers (till 5 am) and outdoor nightclub, Cons: gourmet resturants not as good as in others House brand of alcohol (normally) is bad, ask for the good stuff, and tip a little they will remember you!

Great Value

Beautiful get-a-way with some minor things. There were roaches in our first room (not completely evitable, I guess). Management accomodated the request, second room was fine. Beautiful beach.

Nice property, friendly staff

We spent 4 days in this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Amenities included in the package were water bike, sailing, table tennis, billiard, volleyball, badminton, and many others. So, we were not bored. Food was OK. The best place to eat was restaurant- buffet.

ok for the price..

I usually dont complain about caribbean resorts but this one was Lacking that something 'special'..My real complaint was the food..I love foriegn dishes but this place just didnt know 'How to cook'..the food was very mediocre..But the resort was beautiful and very clean..And if you dont know spanish you better learn, more than half the staff act like they didnt want to know what you were talking about(english)..

VERY AVERAGE

IF YOU NOT SEARCHING FOR CRYSTAL BLUE WATERS THEN THIS IS A GOOD PICK. THE POOL IS GREAT BUT THE BEACH IS NOT CLEAR BLUE. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN. THE FOOD WAS FINE. THE ICE CREAM WAS REALLY GOOD. THE STAFF REALLY WORKS HARD BUT THEY DON'T REALLY KNOW ENGLISH BUT THAT'S WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU GO TO A SPANISH SPEAKING ISLAND. THE AREA TO THE AIRPORT IS DISMAL AND BE PREPARED TO CLUTCH YOUR BELONGINGS IN THE SANTO DOMINGO AIRPORT. THEY CHARGE $70 EACH WAY.
