Don't Expect Service

First the good: the grounds and the facilities are beautiful. Unfortunately, the positives end there. We never received a response to an email requesting assistance with an airport transfer. We were here during low season, and we discovered after our arrival that much of the property was closed. A restaurant, one of the pools, the business center, and parts of the spa were all shut down during our stay. But worse than that, hotel staff repeatedly represented to us that many of these facilities were open, even going so far as to drive us by a restaurant we later learned was closed during our "introductory tour" and point out the closed steam room as we were on our way to our spa treatments. Also, despite the fact that there seemed to be very few people at the facility, our request to move to a quieter room was refused, and late check out required multiple phone calls. It just wasn't the level of service that one expects, given Casa de Campo's reputation. No one seemed very concerned, either--on learning that our stay hadn't been satisfactory, the person at the front desk apologized politely and said that he hoped we would return. I could only say that it wasn't very likely....

Avoid the hotel restaurants, if you can. They are mediocre, overpriced, and have little variety.

Return Visit.

Whilst the hotel location, amenities, variety of restaurants and facilities are world class, attention to detail is lacking. Service from staff is not always prompt and inter staff conversations have to be finished first! Staff are very friendly but I believe management should impress upon them the need to put customer first. Small things lacked, eg. the requested daily newapaper was delivered correctly on the first morning then each day varied from the wrong paper to no paper. The bedroom floor never felt perfectly clean and we were bothered nightly by mosquitoes.

If you enjoy a drink make sure you purchase an all-inclusive package. On our recent 7 night stay we spent approx. $2500 for two people on F & B at hotel prices. This was completely covered by oue all-inclusive package.

Not what I expected at all very unhappy

The only thing that was good about the hotel was the silence that if u need to rest that's the perfect place to be. There was no entertainment there was alot of construction bring done . The staff was not friendly at all . I've stayed at diffrent resorts before and this is far from 5 stars. Everywhere u drove in the golf cart all u saw was construction. U hardly even saw people there . I have a 9 month old and at 9 pm they were knocking on my door cuz they said we were making to much noise , mind u the noise was only while I changed my babys diaper . Not happy w this place at all it felt almost like they were doing me a favor.
