Decent value, nice beach location, bad service
For the price, this resort was decent and is in a nice location. The beach and surroundings were pretty good though not spectacular. The beach was not too crowded and there were usually plenty of chairs available there and at the pool. The food and drinks were so-so or even below average, but hey, they're free since it's all-inclusive. The other guests were no problem - a mix of spring breakers, who weren't out of control, with older American and European retirees and such. The customer service, on the other hand, needs some serious help. When we arrive, around 1:30 am, we encountered problems with the check-in. The guy at the counter looked us up and found our reservation in the computer, but refused to check us in without a "voucher" as he kept repeating. Unlike every online e-reservation I've ever made for a hotel, flight, rental car, etc, this one expected a piece of paper showing our reservation even though his computer showed our fully-paid reservation. Only after we'd spoken to several different people (none of whom were obviously in charge, and who had very limited English ability among them) did they assist my girlfriend in getting on a working computer to print out the reservation email. Once we got to the room (it was almost 3am by this point), we found that the shower did not work at all, there was no hot water there or in the sink, and that the toilet was problematic. Only the next morning did they fix the hot water (they just had to flip a switch apparently) and make the shower operable. The toilet remained problematic (noisy at all times, incredibly slow to refill) throughout our stay. The beds were rather hard but not too bad I suppose. The maid service was generally pretty good. The restaurant foods were well below average; the fish in particular should be avoided as it was not fresh (ironic for a beach resort). Worst of all was the service at the restaurants. It was generally sluggish and unhelpful across the board. At the pasta restaurant (the most popular and thus most crowded), the customer service was downright atrocious. The hostess was a (expletive deleted) and left us and others to wait in the waiting area, without taking our names for the line, for 10-15 minutes at a time. She clearly had too many responsibilities but she could have been nicer about it - it is her job to serve customers after all. The wait staff was slightly less mean but no more helpful. When my girlfriend's food was cold (she noticed after a couple bites - I think it included fish again), she sent it back and told them it was cold. The waiter eventually returned with it, about 20 minutes later, having simply re-warmed the same slightly-eaten plate of food. I thought any waiter would know to bring a new plate, this time actually hot. How incompetent can they get? We gave up and left. So yeah, the beach is nice, the drinks are plentiful but very watered-down, and the food is so-so, but the service is terrible. I guess you get what you pay for.

Horrible
I arrived on 3/15/12 they told me I didn't have a reservation s... After showing them my emails and confirmation number I finally got a room two and half hours later. My room was soo disappointing. My bed headboard was on the floor. I didn't have any towels the wifi didn't work and two out of 5 nights I had no water to shower. It didn't even had an iron. When I did request one they told me to wait. I actually waited two days for one. And that's because I had to go and argue in the lobby. They actually told me they wore short on irons and I was in the waiting list. Oh yeah I must add one night we didn't have power. Waiters and bartenders really nice and friendly. Over all never again...

We had a good time, but it was hard to get bottled water. The room was dirty, the floor was full of sand. Beautiful beach and you can get topless! :)You have to try the four tracks trip guy in front of the hotel. Look for chef 30 30 , the best service. Stay: 2 days

Great Beach/Amenities, poor rooms
Staff was nice, beach, pools, landscaping were great. The poor part was the rooms. Bathrooms were dingy, AC made a huge racket, the tv was fuzzy, and the door to the room barely closed without slamming it. However - the resort itself is nice, food is good/average. You should know some spanish as not everyone speaks english. Many Europeans and Canadians frequent this resort.

Worst vacation ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even know how I'm going to describe it. First Food disgusting I stayed for one week with my family and I couldn't see a mango. Second this is not for families cuz the prostitution is the main attraction at the hotel. The photos you see at the page are from 10 years back. Rooms have smelly pillows, dirt and old towels. The bathroom have mold on walls, AC's noise all night. We have been moved from our first room because we didn't have cold water. The balcony door didn't have the lock. Our second room was kind of fine but bathroom was with mold. I was told the food was good but not in this case. Hotel needs serious TLC and maybe can have 2 starts. I will never visit this hotel again.

Affordable and enjoyable
We had a short stay (only 3 days) so we didn't get to experience everything this hotel had to offer. A few takeaways though: -The main pool (the one with the pool bar) was always pretty gross. It needed a serious skimming. -The beach was very nice. Some vendors, but if you told them you weren't interested, they left you alone. -They want you to purchase a time share. Don't waste your time with that. -The employees were great. I needed a phone number for a company that I hired to take me to and from the hotel, and a front desk employee used his personal cell phone to help. - A dollar goes a long way (as a tip). I tipped $1 for each round every time we got drinks. By about our 6th round, they knew what I wanted, and instead of having to leave the beach to go to the bar, they were bringing me drinks regularly. Awesome. -Food was solid, drinks as well. For a rather affordable place, I was surprised with the quality of my stay.

Bring over $50 in singles and be gracious with them. The service you get in return is certainly worth it.
