Viva Wyndham Tangerine Resort - All Inclusive

My stay was very relaxing , friendly staff. The room was average but overall no complaints.

Me and my friend went for 8 days..which was totally not enough time, but we had the best time while we were there! The grounds were beautiful and kept very clean...the staff were very nice and helpful...they worked very long hours, but always looked happy. There was always something to do at the hotel as well...golf..darts, water aerobics..it rained the last day while we were there and staff were constantly going around making sure everyone was still kept happy and busy. Nighlty entertainment was WONDERFUL! Those guys should be dancing on broadway or back up for jlo. lol We love it at the Tangerine!

Nearly everything about the Wyndham tangerine was mediocre. Amenities, food, staff- all were just ok. I really wanted to like this place but it fell flat. The location is beautiful. Great beach and easy walk to both Kite Beach for kite surfing and the bars of cabarete for night life. Lots of other reviews seem to be negative on the a la carte restaurants but in our opinion the Mexican restaurant was excellent and far surpasses the buffet. Try the fish in half coconut as your starter.

This hotel is located on a beautiful beach near everything you could possibly want to do.. Highly recomend the 27 waterfall tour. See a man on the beach named Andy Garcia for your tour needs, he worked his butt off and when the weather went sour he gave us all of our money back even though he had already bought beer and hired a cab. I am sure he lost money. How is that for integrity? Cabarete, the town is a wonderful, small, quaint place full fo restaurants, cafes and boutiques with not a chain in site except ScotiaBank.

It was not bad but not great either. It was Ok for the short time we stayed there. The snack bar was dirty and smelled horribly (as though a toilet backed up) The hotel and grounds were clean. Bathroom shower was clogged, not enough towels for a three person stay. Gave us two. The food in the buffets was diverse and eatable. WOuldnot recommend for more than four day stay. Nothing to do outside hotel. Low and desolate neighborhood. Great shows, nice people.

great hotel...all inclusive package makes it a economical choice the rooms could get a bit of an upgrade but for the value this is the best hotel in cabarete!

Beautiful and clean hotel, with a beautiful pool and the ocean right behind it. Friendly, efficient, and attractive staff, who encouraged tourists to get involved in everything from poolside games to dance-offs. Limited English proficiency of several staff members, but not a real issue. Food could have been better; I hoping to have more authentic Dominican food, as opposed to below-average Dominican renditions of Italian cuisine, pizza, and "burgers".

A great all inclusive resort. The entertainment crew was incredible. They entertained us from early morning till very late at night and always remembered our names. There were so many activities to do if you wanted to. The rooms were nice with balconies. The pool was beautiful. The food was very good except some of the meat was a little dried out. Plenty of fruit. Very enjoyable.

My wife and I took this trip as a chance to get away to relax and enjoy each other's company. We enjoyed the trip, but it was definitely not what we were expecting. The rooms were substandard. They seemed to be cheap and not well maintained. There was some sort of mold in the corners of the ceiling. It seemed to be rather difficult to get clean towels. I found some decent sized spiders in our room. We paid extra money for a room upgrade, but that was not apparent based on the quality of our quarters. I would hate to see what a room looked like for people who didn't have the upgrade! Since we paid for an all inclusive exerience, my wife and I tried to eat at the resort's dining facilities for every meal. Towards the end of the trip, however, it got very hard to do this. The food was not good at all. There was little variety and the food had no taste. I felt like I was eating the same thing for every meal. The staff was fun, friendly, and energetic. But about two days into the trip, my wife had an experience with one of the staff members that had her looking over her back the rest of the trip. One of the staff members cornered my wife and told her he wanted to give her a kiss. She explained that she was married and on a vacation with her husband, but the staff member insisted that he give her a kiss. My wife ended up having to shove the guy and run away. She was paranoid the rest of the trip. The only good thing about this trip was the beach. It was amazing. I have been to beaches all over the world, and this one tops them all. It was beautiful. Most of our days were spent out on the beach catching up on some reading. Even though our experiences with the resort were horrible, the beach made the trip worth it. My wife and I got to spend countless hours relaxing and reading on the beach. Overall, we had a good trip. My wife and I are easy-going, fun people. It's hard for us to not have a good time. I would recommend this area to anyone else, but I would not recommend the resort.

The Atmosphere was great, very laid back and relaxed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beach and pool were clean, comfortable, and great for people watching and relaxing. There were plenty of activities to keep you as occupied as you want to be, and even entertainment. The food was a bit mediocre but there was plenty of it. The beds could have been softer, the rooms were very big but sparse. Very clean. The Grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The guests were mostly Canadian and European.
