Solo Traveler on Holiday

Had trouble in the beginning. Changed my reservation prior to arrival but they didn't honor it. Had to pay an additional $135US or 800DKK. Hotel was a good buy but there are no phones or clocks in rooms. Rooms are small, extra luggage must be stored in the basement. Add breakfast to reservation otherwise is 60DKK. Light breakfast was good. Computer area printing is 50DKK & 30DKK per sheet. No gym or evening restaurant available. People were nice & light snacks are reasonably priced.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Great transportation system. Bus stop and tour services are in front of hotel next door. Mall is 10 min walk w/grocery store. Metro station is 10 min walk. Cafe's, Restaurants, Tivoli Park is 10 min. Abot 150DKK ($26US) will get you a full meal. Coffee, fresh made sandwiches, bottled water, fresh made pastries are main food items.

Wakeup Copenhagen

Walking distance from central station if you don't have a ton of luggage. I made the walk in 8 minutes with a heavy backpack. Modern, contemporary decor. Nice room, good bathroom, clean all around. Friendly staff. No phones or pay phones around if that's something you need--closest pay phone was at central station. I would easily stay here again. Great place.

Good enough but nothing special

I chose this hotel because it was convenient to the Kopenhagen H train station. It is. But not really near anything else, sort of in a no man's land that felt a little scary at night. However, a lot is within 5-10 minute walking distance. It was good enough though, clean. However... The walls were very thin. I could hear my next door neighbor snoring like he was in bed with me. Also, in the mornings I heard mysterious beeping noises at length. At $100 or so, it probably was still a good deal for Copenhagen as the nearby Danhostel had hostel rooms at just under $100 US. If you can, skip the mediocre $16 breakfast buffet, but there is nothing else nearby for the mornings. I had a laugh at this and other hotels that ask you to help save the environment by not washing your towels but meanwhile, they use bleach, the room smells of chemicals and their soaps contain SLS. ;)

WakeUp Hotel Copenhagen

Spent two night here following our Baltic Cruise in May 2012. Appeared to be very new. Room was clean, linens and bedding clean and fresh. Easy walking to Central Station which is a short train ride from Airport. Room was small but all ya do is sleep there! Wife and I took turns walking around the room as to not fall over each other. Funky bathroom with frosted glass walls. FUN!! Room worked fine for us and we would gladly stay there again if ever in Copenhagen.

Very good Budget Hotel

The Wakeup Copenhagen is a good hotel for those looking to save some money. The rooms are tiny, even by European standards. As long as you're not looking for frills like a phone, closet, or sheets, then consider staying here. It's about a 10 minutes walk to Kobenhavn H which is convenient. But all the restaurants and coffee shops are at least 10-15 minute walk away.

Clean, Contemporary, Good location

We had a "family" room which was actually 2 standard rooms that were connected. Rooms were small but very clean. Both had only full-size beds. Twin would have been better with 2 older children. Important to note that the bathroom/shower combo, though ultra modern and pod-like were completely enclosed in frosted glass and offered minimal privacy.

Great value in Copenhagen

We loved the hotel, a 10 minute easy walk from Copenhagen Central Station. The room is small but has everything you need, well appointed. Very comfortable bed. The lobby spaces are very nice. We rented bikes and enjoyed the day in Copenhagen very much.

The hotel room is extreemly tiny,

The hotel room is extreemly tiny, 2 people will struggle to move arround in this room, but its an expensive city so you get what you pay for. Friendly staff, very clean. A nice place to stay, just a bit of a walk to the city centre.

Average hotel

Location was about 7 min walk to Tivoli and central travel station. The rooms were very small. Had no phones inside the room. Very inconvenient if you need to get a hold of people in other rooms. They don't change sheets. No laundry facilities. Front desk people are not all that friendly.
