All in all not bad

The rooms are very modern and stylish but quite small, as was the bed. The first day we only had one towel, so we were wondering whether they'd accidentally given us a single room, but there was a second towel in the bathroom the next day. Also it would have been nice to have two chairs (instead of one) in a room for two. My main complaint is that the hotel is huge and didn't seem to have any stairs, at least not accessible ones (our key card didn't open the doors to the stairs). It usually took a long time to get an elevator and we would have liked to just use the stairs as we were on the first floor. Also, it's a fire hazard. Breakfast was good and the location very central, very close to Tivoli gardens and the pedestrian area. Online check-out was also a plus.

Fantastic for a city break!

This hotel was so easy to get to from Copenhagen Central Station. The beds were very comfortable, and the hairdryer in the bedroom was a "real" hairdryer rather than one of those awful wall-mounted things - a nice touch! Breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return here. The only things that would have made it perfect would have been tea and coffee-making facilities in the room, and moisturisers with the toiletries.

Good, but not great

Great location. Not on a busy street, so little car noise. Only 2 blocks from the Central Station. 1 block to S-Bahn station. Walking distance to central Copenhagen (3-4 blocks to the out edge). Room was small and might be tight for 2. There was a persistent smell of mold or something in the bathroom, but overall the room was clean. Little noise from neighboring rooms on either side, but footsteps and noise from above, plus a fair amount of noise from the hall makes the rooms not as quiet as I would like. Staff was great, and all in all, it's the hotel I would recommend for a stay in Copenhagen.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Just a half block away is a 2-screen movie theater that features the largest cinema's by capacity in Scandinavia. Giant screens, 3D, high-end sound. If you are tired from a long day walking around, it might be a nice way to rest and catch a movie.

great weekend break

Our rooms were spacious and comfortable but you could hear atrain ( or the metro) travelling beneath the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and the breakfast is superb! Will recommend it. View from our rooms was beautiful overlooking the water.

Not bad!

Overall, a good experience. About 5 to 10 minutes walking from the train station which was convenient for us, coming from Stockholm. It's about 15 or 20 minutes walking from a lot of the museums and Nyhavn, which was a bit of a bummer during the day and when we went out at night. Rooms are a bit tight, but nicely updated. Free breakfast is solid. Overall, a good value.

Fabulous Hotel Stay

Our stay at the Scandic Copenhagen was great! The remodeling of this hotel has turned it into a truly 5 star hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and done in wonderful Danish decor. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The lobby is bright and cheery - again in beautiful Danish fashion. The breakfast was very tasty with so many selections. The entire staff was so delightful and helpful - always with a smile. The location great - only a few steps to all forms of transportation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the best in Copenhagen.

One great visit

At the price we booked this room last January while under complete reconstruction, it couldn't be any better. Everything was new, bright, really comfortable beds and pillows. the staff was extremely helpful with all our questions. The breakfast included in the room rate is so much more than the run of the mill continental. The location is fantastic. The only problem would be if you were on an extended stay, there is no drawers to put clothes. You live out of your suitcase.

It needs work

Although the location and staff where great, the hotel, or at least the room I was in, needs a lot of updating/renovations. The bathroom hasn't been renovated in what looks like 20 years or more. Breakfast was included, but having 1000 people eat between 6-10 am was a nuthouse. Was tough keeping your seat. Food was good, nothing to write home about though. Maybe because it was August in Europe and extremely busy.
