Modern hotel in the heart of Copenhagen’s historic city center
The Scandic Copenhagen is one of the city's biggest hotels, with 486 rooms and the largest conference facilities in Copenhagen. The hotel is in the heart of Denmark's charming and historic capital, overlooking the Sankt Jorgens waterway. Many of Copenhagen's popular attractions are nearby. The hotel has a restaurant, two bars, and a relaxation area with gym, saunas, and beauty treatments.

Fabulous Hotel Stay
Our stay at the Scandic Copenhagen was great! The remodeling of this hotel has turned it into a truly 5 star hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and done in wonderful Danish decor. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The lobby is bright and cheery - again in beautiful Danish fashion. The breakfast was very tasty with so many selections. The entire staff was so delightful and helpful - always with a smile. The location great - only a few steps to all forms of transportation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the best in Copenhagen.

Buy a 24 hour Hop-On Hop-Off Bus AND canal tour. You will see all of the major attractions in Copenhagen.

One great visit
At the price we booked this room last January while under complete reconstruction, it couldn't be any better. Everything was new, bright, really comfortable beds and pillows. the staff was extremely helpful with all our questions. The breakfast included in the room rate is so much more than the run of the mill continental. The location is fantastic. The only problem would be if you were on an extended stay, there is no drawers to put clothes. You live out of your suitcase.

It needs work
Although the location and staff where great, the hotel, or at least the room I was in, needs a lot of updating/renovations. The bathroom hasn't been renovated in what looks like 20 years or more. Breakfast was included, but having 1000 people eat between 6-10 am was a nuthouse. Was tough keeping your seat. Food was good, nothing to write home about though. Maybe because it was August in Europe and extremely busy.

Excellent location and value
Very friendly and kept luggage easily available when we checked in early. Clean. Great views. Great breakfasts. Very superior. Clothes line in bath was broken (Sunday). The bellboy came and fixed it since the engineer had left for the day. Wow.

walking distance to shopping street and Tivoli Gardens. Room was small but had 4 twin beds for family

best price for location
No better location in the midst of copenhagen, Tivoly gardens few steps away and so the shopping centre of the city and dining. Excellent for one night if you want to make sure you do not want to miss a cruise that starts there.

Nice hotel, but no airport shuttle
Clean room, nice view. Thought we were getting a king bed room, but told all of the rooms with king beds were smoking rooms.

While location of hotel is excellent, food prices in Copenhagen are very, very high ($5-$6 for a cup of coffee or a soft drink).
