Modern and Central
Check in was quick. Early check in was allowed without a problem. Room was Danish Modern, super clean and comfortable. Location of The Royal is as good as it gets in Copenhagen. Hotel is right across from Tivoli and the Central Station Everything is within walking distance. Rooms are not huge but they are fine. Super down covers on the beds are great. I will always stay here when in Copenhagen.

beautiful hotel, great location
Lovely hotel, great room, comfy bed. Staff was friendly, except for the rather stiff concierge. The hours for the attatched restaurant was still a mystery after two days.

Loves to travel
Excellent choice
This hotel was a very good choice. It was right across from Tivoli, surrounded by many restaurants, and a 5 min walk from the pedestrian shopping area. The Hard Rock Cafe is right across the street and is a reasonable venue in a very expensive town. The concierge was friendly and helpful and the room was spotless. I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect location
We ended a 10 day cruise in Copenhagen during our honeymoon. We picked this hotel because of its excellent location. It is literally across the street from Tivoli Gardens and from bars, restaurants, and the city's information center. The rooms are air conditioned which apparently is rare in Europe. The staff was friendly and rooms were well taken care of. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to eat at the hotel.

great experience
great location accross from Tivoli,great view of the city, enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel, staff friendly, warmed bathroom floors, and featherbed was scrumptious!

Great Hotel
This hotel was great! The concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgeable,as well as the front desk people. The single room was compact but very comfortable. Location was excellent as it was across the street from Tivoli Gardens,very near the train station, and outside you could find the HOHO bus to see the sights. I would definitely stay here again.

fantastic hotel in Copenhagen
We arrived early and they allowed us to store our luggage and visit the city. The location could not be better!! We looked out our window to the train station and to Tivoli. The site seeing "Hop on - Hop Off" bus was within 50 feet of the hotel. When we departed they allowed us a late check out time which worked perfect with our travel plans.

Perfect weekend getaway
Even though I arrived early (8:30am), I was allowed to check in without any issues. This was great considering I had just gotten off a transatlantic flight. Service was excellent all around and the location couldn't be better!

Understated elegance
We arrived in Copenhagen from the States and got to the hotel early (c.9am). I wasn't expecting a room to be available, but it was. It was quite roomy, clean, and well laid out. In particular, the bathroom was excellent - tub and shower, 2 sinks. The rooms were quite stylish in a retro way (not a trendy, boutique hotel way). The concierge was extremely helpful pointing us to a fantastic restaurant a few blocks away, and everything we wanted to see was either within walking distance or an easy train ride away.
