Exactly what we were looking for!

The hotel was absolutely perfect for us. We had a lovely stay and would have liked to stay longer. The hotel was easily accessible to the airport via the metro and the center of town. The bed was extremely comfortable and the heated towel rack helped keep our towels light and fluffy. The guts at the front desk were friendly and engaging. The wine at 5 pm was a great way to taste a local delicacy - best glu wine we had on the trip!

disappointing

staff were fantastic and we liked the location but rooms very lacking . We paid extra for a superior room which was small with an uncomfortable sofa bed. There was no air conditioning which was a shock as we expected this of a 4 star hotel. They provided small fans but this still made out stay very uncomfortable. Had we not paid in advance through the package with flights we would have checked out. We had to lug our cases up a number of stairs as there was no porter system..The hotel itself was not in a good state of repair:: the lift button was broken, walls needed replastering in areas where the stairs were. In all not a good experience

Great Hotel in Beautiful Copenhagen!

The hotel is centrally located by the waterfront, walking distance to restaurants, shops, attractions. Beautiful accommodation, stayed there two different nights. First room had large bathroom and overlooked the hotel entrance with view of river. The second room had small open shower area- everything got wet. It faced the court yard. Hotel has different buildings. Breakfast Buffet was not that great for price. But staff was great! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Go out for meals. Across the bridge there are lots of nice restaurants to choose from. Hotel meals are pricey.

Kong Arthur is a great pace in Copenhagen

The hotel is wonderfully located within walking distance to main attractions, shopping. The staff were incredible nice , courteous and helpful. Breakfast was a bit expensive, I suggest you go out for this meal. Rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. No A C but room had a fan and at night it was cool enough. Rate it a 4 ****

pre cruise stay

This hotel was lovely to stay in, but be prepared that there are several steps to get in and out. You will need to be able to carry your own luggage up 10 to 12 steps to enter the lobby and there are stairs to get to the elevator. Rooms did not have air conditioning and windows were tricky to open. Staff was helpful. Good location.

Quaint Hotel in a Quiet Location

Very pleased with the hotel. As we were arriving on a late flight, we contacted the hotel to ensure our room would be held. Front-desk staff was very nice and helpful. Although we got information on some within walking distance restaurants, we were pleasantly surprised with reasonably priced snacks at the hotel bar. Incidentally, the sandwich was excellent! The hotel was a great location. It was close to a nice selection of bars and restaurants, but was still nice and quiet. Walking distance from any number as sights, as well as public transportation. Although the room was small by US standards, the amenities were nice and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Just a couple of blocks out the back of the hotel is a delicious bakery (Fra Bageren on Nansengade). It was an inexpensive way to pick up breakfast and the pastries were amazing. In addition, they had sandwiches for the equivalent of about 6 USD (a steal in Copenhagen).

Tiny Rooms That were Last Updated in the 1960s

We stayed one night in room 308 in early June 2013. The pictures of this hotel are extremely misleading and inaccurate. With a queen bed in our room, there was barely space for one person to walk around the bed. These rooms are extremely small. The carpet was filthy. The bathroom and the room look like they are from the 1960s. The furniture are several decades old and falling apart. Everything is old and rundown. Rooms in this hotel still use metal keys! The most outrageous thing is that they call this rundown place a 4 star hotel. I would take an average Motel 6 any day over this 4 star tourist trap!

Good location

A lovely hotel in a nice area of Copenhagen. Friendly staff at reception. Disappointing not having air con in room and small things like iPod docks would make a nice hotel room very nice. Would highly recommend a visit to burger restaurant Halifax which is round the corner from hotel- highlight of our holiday.

Perfect location for visiting Copenhagen on a short break

Five of us stayed at the Kong Arthur over the UK May bank holiday and couldn't recommend it more highly. The location is perfect: quiet, but only a 10 minute walk from Norreport metro/station. There's also a very good indoor/outdoor market close-by where you can have breakfast (the hotel breakfast is quite expensive, but v. good) or try Cafe Klimt just round the corner, which does superb 'tapas' style brunch. Staff also really helpful, the only negative being there didn't seem to be enough of them on reception sometimes, as they have to tend the bar as well. Comfortable rooms and a really nice courtyard at the back. Also recommend a boat trip around the harbour and canals and a very easy trip over the bridge to Malmo. And try Cafe Norden in the city centre.
