the good,the bad,and the ugly

The hotel was overrated in terms of the services and the size of the rooms. The staff lacked the experience or willingness to help provide services. We were with another couple who were also disappointed . the only plus was the location of the hotel which made it convenient to walk to a lot of places we wanted to visit.

A solid hotel close to the train station

Stayed there for three nights recently. Picked it because it was a very easy walk from the Copenhagen Central station and was very well priced. For a "superior room," it felt a bit small, but it isn't out of line for European hotels. In addition to the two single beds, there were two sitting chairs and another desk/chair. Bathroom was an okay size, but they have the "it's not really a shower door" door. If you aren't careful showering, the whole bath is going to be very wet. Room was remodeled and modern; mine had a new flat screen TV. Air conditioning worked well enough (though it wasn't hot). There is good daylight in the 3rd floor room, but also a fair amount of noise from the trains on the nearby tracks. (That didn't bother me, but I can see others may be annoyed by it.) Free internet in room (wired only). In the lobby, there is wifi and a business center with shared computers. Service was pretty good; housekeeping did a solid job and the staff at the front desk was pretty helpful even though there was some mix up with our reservation. Overall, a solid choice for those who want to be close to the main station and willing to walk around town. (They also rent bikes.)

Grab breakfast pastries/breads at Lagkagehuset about 2 blocks away (intersection of Vesterbrogade and Axeltrov). Great way to start the morning.

Very Impressed

We found this on the net and read some of the previous reviews. We chose it for its location , near to the station as we caught the train form the airport to get to it. The staff could not do more for you and all spoke excellent English. The room we had was on the 5th floor and had air conditioning , although not functioning brilliantly was sufficient. We had a standard room which was clean slightly on the small size, but the bed was huge ( king size) and really comfortable. It was ideally situated for the centre of Copenhagen and the sites. Very pleased with Hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great hotel with an unbeatable location

After our Baltic cruise we stayed two extra days at this hotel. Our room was very clean and large enough for all our luggage and was very comfortable with a large balcony. The staff was very friendly and answered our many questions without hesitation. I would highly recommend staying at the Imperial. It's location was close to most sights of interest to us.

Pleasantly suprised

This hotel has AC! The room I stayed in was on the top floor and had a terrace. The room was very modern and newly updated. High quality linens, soaps, and a very comfortable bed! It is quiet and great value!

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Being close to the train station in CPH is ideal. If you fly into Kastrup airport you can walk right on to the subway after bag collection. It takes 15 min to downtown CPH and 10 min walk to the hotel. Saves time and $$$.
