Centrally located, classically styled historic hotel in Danish capital
First Hotel Kong Frederik is one of Copenhagen's most classic and historic hotels. The prime location is close to the Town Hall square (Rådhuspladsen), Tivoli Gardens, and boutique shopping. The hotel has been the choice for years of international performing artists and legendary poets. The hotel, fully refurbished in 2010, offers the same legendary, townhouse atmosphere, but with a twist of modernity. Bicycles are available for rent.

Good Experience
Very comfortable room, pleasant helpful staff, noisy wedding party early hours, breakfast buffet very expensive, quoted price from front desk, $20, turned into $31 when taxes were added. I definately recommend this hotel.

Unbeatable location for the price
Hotel was right across the street from Tivoli and within two blocks of the main shopping street. Walking distance to the train and all major sights.

Excellent location, nice service, personal rooms
A very good change for those "always the same" chain hotels. Comfortable and convenient, a little twist of speciality. Breakfast room comfy and special.

charming hotel, good location
Very charming hotel with beautiful decor. Lobby, bar, restaurant, everything very welcoming. Liked the old fashioned style with modern mixes. Also rooms very nice. Single rooms are lovely but small and the view is to the backyard. So the view is quite ugly in the first floors, all right in the 5th. I would recommend to upgrade your room for a double, if possible, they looked beautiful and had better space. Free minibar (water, juices, beer) and wifi. Location excellent next to Rådhuspladsen, possibility to rent a bike, but you really can walk everywhere.

I would go again
Smooth service, great atmosphere
I have recently stayed mostly in chain hotels, so this one was a great change! The dark furniture makes a calming atmosphere and the old bulding seems to have a spirit. The rooms are personal (I had a single room, but had a look also in one double). Breakfast was ok, but not very wide, although the restaurant was very cool. The complimentary minibar has water, juice and some beers. Staff was friendly and very service oriented. I visited January 2013 (the drop down doesn't offer this option).
