Charming maritime hotel in the heart of the Danish capital
The Copenhagen Strand is superbly located in the heart of Copenhagen, overlooking Copenhagen Harbor, just a stone's throw away from Nyhavn, Amalienborg, and the Strøget shopping district. The hotel is housed in one of the original waterfront warehouses, which dates back to 1869. The old building has been beautifully and carefully restored. The decor has been kept rustic with a slightly maritime style, making it one of the city's most charming hotels.

CPH Strand overnight visit
I walked to the hotel from the Central Station (completely do-able, but be prepared for the walk!) - when I arrived onsite, the lobby was very clean and well maintained and the staff was quite friendly. I had a few questions about sites to see and they answered without a problem. My friend arrived later than me and had no troubles getting to our room (no hassles from the staff). The morning breakfast was adequate.

Geat Stay!
The Strand Hotel was in a great location! we were merely minutes away from all of the sights. The hotel staff was very nice.

nice hotel, good location
Copenhagen Strand Hotel was nice enough for our trip. With a 5 minutes walk to Nyhavn and 10 to Stroget, it was in a quiet, yet convenient location.

Strand Review
Service was very good and helpful. Location is terrific by Nyhaven and can walk anywhere in central Copenhagen from the Strand. Very clean and pretty too. Only detriment was the garbage collection at 5:30 am right outside the window, other than that the hotel itself is quiet and very well maintained. I would stay here again, and just ask for a room away from the lower back. Free internet service was wonderful to have also.

Short walk from hotel
There are MANY outside cafes and eateries closeby at Nyhaven. Prices are sky high though, and most take credit cards. All shops want Danish Kroner, but will take Euros (you lose in exchange) or credit cards. Prices in Copenhagen are extremely high when using dollars or euros.

everything worked out well..had many emails on number of rooms..dont know if breakdown was at orbitz or the hotel..but turned out ok and the front desk at check in cancelled one extra room that had been cancelled via email

a quiet in-town Copenhagen hotel
Staff personnel were more than polite: they were friendly and eager to answer all questions whether about their hotel services or transportation in the city. And they all spoke/understood English.

Short walk from hotel
Take the Nettboro boat tour of the canals: it cost half of what the others do and is just a step away from the Strand Hotel doorstep.
