Copenhagen Star Hotel Copenhagen

Located right by the train station, around ten minutes from the main shopping streets. Staff were great, really really helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean, nothing special, but everything you need. Copenhagen is fricken expensive

We enjoyed our stay; the staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and the buffet breakfast excellent. If we had any complaint it was that there wasn't that much space for our clothes and no closed spaces such as drawers or wardrobes

Located one block from central train station and in the center of Copenhagen. Rooms are small, furnished with basic needs (bed, desk, closet, bath); however, rooms are very clean and room looked newly renovated. Enjoyed stay, perfect for economy traveler. Breakfast was excellent.

Reception quite sneery. When I asked about the luggage room I was treated like I'd forgotten how to tie my own shoelace. Bathroom smelled like sulphur. Two single-bed duvets instead of a double duvet for the bed. Uncomfortable bed. Very little in the way of amenities. Good location though and cheap enough for Denmark (in every sense)

We needed a room for 1 night before our trip to return home, but we also wanted to visit the city. The hotel is one block away from the train station and the train ride to Kestrup airport is a mere 20 minutes. The staff is very helpful and efficient. The internet link was one of the best we had had during our 15-day visit to Europe. The only negative point is that the street below our room was somewhat noisy, but with the windows closed, this wasn't a serious problem.

The hotel was in a good location with friendly staff. Noisey at night due to restaurants at night emptying trash etc. Breakfast average.

The Star hotel is a value hotel. Don't expect nice rooms and gigantic bathrooms with toiletries, this place is very plain. The location is OK if you want to be next to the central train station, but it is in the Red Light District. This didn't bother us, and we didn't have any issues with the people around there at night. The breakfast was OK, but the service we received from everyone there was great! Ester was fantastic and very helpful in ordering cabs and giving us advice about the city. We ended up staying here because at the time, everything else in the city was booked. It was a great value hotel, but next time I'd probably spring for something a little nicer in a better area.

My room was rather larger than at some other Ibis hotels I've frequented in Europe, and it was very well lit by day and night. Spotlessly clean room and bath, stain-free carpet. Yes, the furnishing was rather spartan but the ergonomics were good. A big plus, as well as the the proximity to the station, is the efficient Reception and excellent welcome. Another is the free and fast wifi. The mattress could be firmer, the breakfast room better organized and the breadknife should not be so blunt as to slide and cut your finger - ouch!

Centrally located hotel (but in red light district) - good for exploring Copenhagen by foot. Basic amenties. Continental breakfast was fine, the fresh bread was especially good - breakfast was a bit choatic when crowded. Room in roof space (5th floor) was small but clean - needed redecorating and freshening up, but fine if you don't intend spending much time inside. Minimal staff, but friendly - we only saw the receptionist and two staff at breakfast. Not a hotel for spending a lot of time in and relaxing - cheap but good value for money paid.
